hey fellas, im thinking of turning my SCX10 Camaro build into a Foffer
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-scx-10/470762-mad-max-style-camaro-build.html

now it has a hpi 15t firebolt with 56/14t gearing, the downside is it has a 2.18;1 transfer case atm that really slows it down, its still gets up and goes on 3s but nowhere near what i want.

now besides the transfer case ( im looking at a 1:1 or .75:1 case) what exactly does it need to be a Foff?
can i run SCT tyres instead of paddles as i dont want to run 2.2 sized paddles

any help woul dbe appreciated as i have no idea really i no crawlers but not fast stuff

If you want more speed then maybe put overdrive diffs in front and rear. To be honest it would probably need a brushless combo in as well unless you get rid of the transfer case.

I think there are smaller paddles tires than 2.2 available, but not sure what.

overdrives where on the cards didnt reliase i didnt put it in.
if i go the .75:1 transfer, with a 3s according to the speed calcualtor i found it could potentially reach 48kmph

That should be enough speed I guess.

Also have a look at post 53 in the tire choices stickie thread. There are pics of 2.2 sand paws cut down to 1.9 if the 2.2's are too big for the body you have. Maybe that could be a way to get paddles on.

48 is fast. I often run a wraith on 6s 2100 kV motor and I'd be surprised if its that fast.
56/14 gears on mine.
Taller tires will greatly increase ground speed.
