another state of mind..?
this guy wants me to build him a crawler with all metal parts(ALL METAL... axles tranny rims ALL of it), 6s lipo, brushless, and 2 speed.

so whats the best of the best and the not so best. he wants more of a comp crawler. i dont think metal axles and two speed are the best things for a comper but thats what he wants.

he's not to into it yet so he doesnt know the differance between a comp or scaler is so... he thinks he wants a comp rig.

any help is great. please give brand and name

thanks im kinda stumped i was hopeing he wanted a scaler and im not to into the compers yet so its hard to say for me

I wasn't gonna post, but if somone is really paying you to build them the most high dollar rediculous crawler, they are probably paying you some cash. Do the research yourself. Most of the people here, includeing myself, can probably ramble off parts pretty quick to fit what you are asking for. I learned it all from reading through stuff. Just look around and see whats out there. Also if the guy is that new and clueless talk him out of some of the stuff he asked for. You do not want 2 speed, 6s, or brushless for the most part in a comp rig. However I do recommend the ti fighters linked above.

2 speed is certainly not for a comp rig, the best comp rigs are motor on axle. 6s is a bit crazy too, 4s is more than enough, 3s is adequate.

For the high end, Ti Fighters are the way to go"thumbsup" with super 300's, axle masters, 300m gears where applicable.

Couple that a Futaba 4pks, hitec 7980, 2 esc's (fxr , mamba micro pro, or brxl), some custom built motors from team brood, vanquish products, wheelworks, or mayhem engineering wheels, a box full of Crawler InNovation foams for tuning, and a good chassis (carbon fiber is the trend!) and you have yourself one heck of a high dollar bling machine that is going to be most capable in the right hands. "thumbsup"

Thanks for the list of parts. hope i can change his mind about some of it and will work for him.

PS. sorry for makeing anyone mad its just that im not into comp im in to scale so i dont have a clue what the best axles are for comp. but ya i was thinking the same way as to no 2 speed and 6s is crazy.

i am looking all over the place for good stuff but some one might say this is the best thing in the world and ten other people say i wouldent give that to a dog to wipe his butt and ten ten that are right might not start a thread to say that. so for the guys that go to the comps that see all the setups and know the best stuff what is it thanks again for the help

The Ti Fighter is without question is super cool but it might be the most expensive, which isn't a attractive investment in a market that changes the game a couple times a year. I'm surprised Tom that you didn't the say XR-10, considering the statement you made in a thread recently, where you said ( and I'm not quoting) that it was your goal to make the XR-10 the best comp crawler ever.

Personally I believe the XR-10 will be the best comp truck going forward, due to numerous companies that are focused on aftermarket parts. With all those new options and companies working hard to get a piece of the XR-10 after market the new Axial XR-10 can only get better.

Axial once again has changed the RC crawling market and is creating opportunities for many to prosper, which means in the end the platform improves.

XR10 you say hemm i had not thought of that "thumbsup"

Not all metal.... yet. I thought about listing it, but you said you wanted the best of the best and right now (not counting the driver factor) that is the Ti Fighter. It is strong, light, and tops the coolness factor charts!

XR10 with all the VP goodies and Axial or RC4wd gears is certainly a viable option though "thumbsup" But they are plastic axle housings which do not meet the requirement of all metal that you listed.

ya i know its not all metal. but it dont matter now because he wants a scaler because it is mor the style he was thinking he just dident know he was thinking it. you know with the 2 speed and brushless so i hes going for that. and he is less full of money than he thought so it is going to be plastic axles rims metal links, trany, and frame... duh. thanks
