Hey All! I got my Yeti a couple weeks ago, but I wanted to get some real drive time on it before starting a thread. I start by saying that every time I drive this car I get a headache.......from smiling so much!!
I have driven 20+ 4000mah packs through it. I have only had one failure so far"thumbsup" just a broken hub carrier, which was totally my fault.

I have to say VERY good job Axial!!!!

With that said, I have done a few upgrades as needed. First thing to go on the car was some UCFab 7075 trailing arms, followed by titanium upper links and new front suspension links.

Next, an obvious "must have" to go on the car was a set of Ottsix Voodoo U4 tires (silvers) with CI double duce 6.0 foams (also a must have IMHO).

Next on the list was to address the steering, which wasn't too bad at first, but the servo saver spring seemed to get really soft after some hard driving. I machined a 7075 spacer to put in its place, which did the trick.

After that I installed a Hitec 7954 and a CC bec.

I rebuilt the shocks with some 30wt oil. IMO it made the car handle much better.

I found that after the first couple of packs of HARD driving the body was falling off. I really like the look of the yeti front end so to fix the issue I decided to fuse it to some flat side panels. I used 0.60 lexan to avoid having to rebuild them all the time.

Here's some pics of how it sits now"thumbsup"

Nice work Kyle!!! Those trailing arms are legit!!!

Other than swapping out your servo and the spacer you made (I want one[emoji1]) what other steering upgrade did you do???

Thanks Guys!!! I have a Vainquish rack on the way but thats it so far. I would say one of the biggest things I did to help the car steer was to put Underdrive gears in the rear and stock ratio up front. Really makes the car pull through the corners"thumbsup"

As far as the tires. The Yeti and Ottsix Voodoo U4's are a match made in heaven!!!

Great work on the body, I saw those panel screw holes when I swapped mine. What outers are you running with those foams?

I was able to see your old U4 straight axle truck chassis - those links. Please say we can get them for the Yeti soon...please?

Yeah, those trailing arms are by far the sickest trailing arms out there! Not only do they look great but that 7075 will slide like butter!

I really, really, really need to get my hands on some.

Thanks chris !! I'm running med rear and soft front. Seems to be a great setup for all types of driving. That setup came straight off my ultra car which was setup more crawling.

They should be ready in the next couple weeks! We decided to go CNC with these to bring the cost down"thumbsup"
Thank you for you patience. I will contact every body on the preorder list as soon as I have a solid date of arrival.

On the last outing I took a big tumble and broke the rear housing @ the link mounts. I knew exactly what needed to be done. I have been running one off Dlux trusses on my ultra car for a while now with zero axle housing failures.

This is what I like to call the UCFab edition Dlux truss.
1/8" Black G10 with the delrin stiffener on the long side"thumbsup"

BOOM!!!!

A buddy and I were talking about the best bodies to put on the Yeti!!! We both agreed a SCT body woulb be a great body to cut up and fit. I had a body laying around so I got to work. This is a J Concepts Dare body. I think I turned out Pretty good.

So do you have an info on the beefy rear axle truss, will D-Lux be making it or was it just a one off production?

I like the new Dare body the lines on it are great but the 3 front head lights look out of place but still a great build!

So I went back to the Yeti front clip. (just like it better) Also was very un happy with the interior. I didnt want to buy a new one so I got to work masking and painting the outside interior. Its not done yet. It still needs some weathering and a flat clear coat.

Well...what's not to like? The rear end of that honey has some real "honky tonk badonka donk" 😍
