The Official RECON G6 Q & A Thread

jeepscx10 Get some of those 30 together and carpool down to Hot Springs, Arkansas next weekend for The Hills Have Eyes G6 .

One spot said "NO rear steer and NO dig. A vehicle may have 4x4 or 2x4 capabilities."

and another said "- All classes are allowed to use dig and 4 wheel steering on their scalers if they choose. "

So your guess is as good as mine.

I know that the Wraith and SCX10 models are more ideal for a G6, but do many AX10 models show up? I haven't really seen them in event coverage.

Not many... I have a friend who's brother attended a G6 with a AX10 and it worked just fine, with a different body. but the axles are worm gear driven and got hot from what I heard.

There have been some. Drivers attach a scale body and add scale items. Some throw in a 35t motor. At a RECON G6, a small time penalty would be assessed, but there are time bonuses available, too. "thumbsup"

Ax10 should have axial axles. No issues in the G6 as long as it meets scale requirements.

All good info to know. Thanks guys.

Eventually I'd like to get a couple SCX10 kits for my wife and I to build. Then plan a camping trip that would coincide with a G6 event.

Only vehicle specs are wheel size, 1.9 or 2.2. Of course this is AXIALfest, so Axial only, no RC4WD Trail Finders or Losi Crawlers or PTI Goliaths or Kyosho Rock Forces or Tamiya Clod Busters or CC01s or Venom Creepers or....you get the idea. And, yes, before you ask, aftermarket parts are allowed.

Im thinking of building a Wrexo(with the EXO Terra frame)Are IFS rigs allowed since the Yeti has been released. It will be all Axial but not really "scale" like a rail framed truck?I had several of my buddies attend the latest G6 in Ark and came back telling me about and now im hooked

Yes Sir, you did! Mad driving skills & a very capable Axial scx10! "thumbsup"

I am always trying to drive rc with my Nor-Cal Family every chance I get. So don't be surprised when I show up in the RG6 Tercel to "Do Work"!

The only rules I can find are on the axial website, and they're from 2013, am I blind or is there an updated set of rules/info?

Edit, I am an idiot.... The link is right in your sig haha. Noob moment.
