Terrible1's His (& Hers) Bomber Build(s)

Update on my "His" Bomber...

I've since ran it a few times working on my ESC settings, playing with pinions, blowing up 2 servos and adding a couple of new parts. Unfortunately, I'm tired of wasting all my spare stock Tactic servos and I'm waiting for a new HH servo so for the time being, this rig is shelved. I added a DMG spare mount to this Bomber as well as just received my Barndog inside side panels. I also switched my sway bar to mid chassis mount and went up to the .125 diameter bar. I was able to get in about 10 minutes of run time on it with the thicker sway bar and prior to the servo burning up, I was pretty happy with the handling thus far although I may be looking into a different shock set up soon. A lower COG I think will greatly improve its hi speed capabilities. Rollover is still an issue but primarily specific to running in grass and/or pavement. This Bomber is quickly evolving into a purely go fast rig. The speed is too much fun for me to stay off the throttle. A few new pics with the added body pieces:

It's been a while...new update...
I got my hands on a DMG IFS conversion kit recently and decided to "marry" the His & Hers Bombers to create this:

I ended up with enough parts to keep at least one of the original Bombers together. I added a new power system to this one. My go to, HH Puller Pro 3500kv and MMX along with an HH servo. I loved the SSD transmission so much in my IFS Wraith Build I put one together for this build. She boogies on 3s!

Now, THAT is a nicely modded Bomber!

Don't know why more don't use those internal body panels - thought they were only available for the Yeti from BarnDog.

Killer chassis upgrades too, stance is fully race-worthy.

(I do like the black roof and hood, myself - but color schemes are very personal...) :ror:

Thanks durok! I appreciate the kind words. I love Barndog's panels. I have a set of inner panels for my YXL and when the Bomber came out had to have a set for it as well.

I had a chance to do some quick runs in front of my house today (pavement only) and she rips! The stance works out really well with reducing rollovers. I'm still on the fence with the sway bar positioning. I'm going to try and flip it to axle mount and see how the handling changes. Overall though, very happy with the way she sits now.

I still have the black panels too. My first choice. I put the custom ones on because I wanted to mix the 2 original Bombers into one. I also hated them sitting there on the shelf after the work Michelle at Krawler Koncepts did on them.

DANG!! You work fast. Lol

But wow, that turned out killer."thumbsup" I really need to finish mine now.:lmao:

Bro, this thing is sick! I was shocked how well it handles and I've only ran on pavement so far. I can't wait to see this on dirt! And yes... you do need to finish yours so we can get all these rigs out! "thumbsup"

You just need an exo front bumper to complete it now. Have you picked up a scale yet? Curious what both of your IFS rigs weigh.

So the BIG question, what do you like better so far, the ifs wraith or bomber?????

Thanks guys! I was so involved with getting her together, I completely forgot about the bumper.

As far as which IFS I like better... they're both set up completely different. The Bomber rails with the SC shocks (shorter) and heavier shock oil. Whereas the Wraith is super plush with the 5" rear suspension and 4" front. It drives like a TT, basically eating up everything in its way. But, I'm waiting for my preorder of Supershafty sway bars to be made and shipped too so, as of now I'm still without a sway bar on the Wraith. I guess because of that, the Bomber has the edge for now.

Great looking Bombers. I can't believe she has the girls on hers! "thumbsup"
