Also does the mini class keep it simple? I want to stay away from having to continually spend money or do things like 4 wheel steering to compete unless I have to.

Looking for a simple "Slash" class to join.

Its very simple when it comes to the Mini's. Just get the rig set up the way you like to run, springs, gears, etc.

Damn almost traded for a mini yesterday.

Oh well TF2 it is.

You guys think I should even try a locked axle bruiser? Its stock with open axles right now in the hopes I would take it trail riding.

My cco1 is locked in the rear and open diff in the front and works great"thumbsup" The bruiser is a great tril rig and we have one other guy bringing his bruiser for class 1 this season.

The minis are pretty simple, steel gears needed in tranny, steeel lockers for the axles and some cvd's for the front and a standerd servo to replace the stock mini servo unless you can find one already done up. Oh and there is no rear steer on any of the minis we run, The rules for comping in a season allows no rear steer"thumbsup"

You guys try micros at all lol.

Almost seems like the ultimate challenge in just finding a place to run them, but would be cool and so easy to transport.

Eric and I have the Futaba 4PL, it's a 4 channel Rx/tx system and works great for crawling and it's made of solid construction too. I've b@tch slapped mine on a few rocks and it's never skipped a beat. :ror: "thumbsup"

Got an offer for a maxed out MRC Pro the guy claims he spent 1,500 on.

And another guy with a maxed out xr10 comp rig.

Do you guys run a lot of 2.2 comp stuff? Is the xr10 probably tops for comp rigs?

I don't know.... $1500 in a MRC Pro... sounds kinda sketchy. What do you guys think? Can you put that much $$$ into a mini. I know I've got waaaay more $$$$ in mine than I thought i would but that seems like a lot. Not criticizing dudes rig, I just don't want someone getting a bad deal. "thumbsup"

I hear you, I'm trying to find a 2.2 comp crawler for next season, and I wouldn't even mind if it's Jerry orange (hint, hint, :lmao: ). "thumbsup"
