Team Brood Presents 2013 East Coast Championships

You never know when others will quit making a gate that we make standard..

Yep, tennis is just a passing fad that hasn't been around very long and will probably fade soon. And it's not like the balls are easy to get at any sporting store or dollar store....

But they are a pain in the ass to cut in half and how many people cut them selfs doing it.:ror:

I 'm liking the standard gate thing more and more."thumbsup"

Well if you weren't calling them names ,you must of been talking about me and Fish. which is it.

You said cone hats were for dumbasses, so I was referencing that, geez basic reading comprehension.
Y'all Bro's need to make a chit chat thread on this.

This is an ECC gate maker pissing comp thread now.

Why didnt you use cones for the 2.2s comp since you support them so much?

Ricky wasn't even there to lend his cone expertise so I'm not sure why he is even involved in this.

We have been using cones longer than we did the tennis balls. I don't mind if people want to use tennisballs, have you ever heard me cry about it, to each his own. Or do we use tennis balls a standard and tell the vedor to screw off. That wouldn't be very good for business.

Your the only one crying whether you realize it or not is a different story.

Rc4wd will always sell those cone as scale items, I bet that's what they intended them for.

Ricky's the Triple OG comp "cone" prototyper. So naturally he gravitates towards all things comp cone related.

Not supporting them, just stated that they are not a big deal to use.

We asked Fish if he was providing gate markers for 2.2s or we needed to. Asthon has a comp bag with gate markers for 4 courses all in nice ziploc bags. So Ashton and I decided to use his gate markers cause they were 10 feet away from us.

So they weren't to big of a pain in the ass or too heavy for you guys to use?

I heard a cry from some where.:ror:
I don't care, I'll use the cones, tennisballs, axial, proline, panther what ever the HOST of the EVENT wants to use. I won't cry about it after either, never have never will.

I'll bring it up in the Rule Committee about making a standard gate marker for all events or maybe a ban list on some.

I used my green axial gates because it's what I always use. You're taking Ricky's words out of context by making the pain in the ass statement (that referred to tennis ball gates) so broad. I think tennis ball gates are ok in some spots, but they can be a pain when you want to put a gate on a sidehill. So yes TENNIS BALLS can be a pain in the ass.

If at ECC the cones had putty and were numbered I would have considered using them. Last year the 2.2S class had some bonuses that were cones as well. The courses still used the Axial gates but the cones were present.

I never mention standard or banned anything.

In my original post about the issue I mentioned it would have been better had they been numbered and arrowed.

I apologize for ever saying a word. "thumbsup"

...a sarcastic apology for voicing your opinion? The only thing I did was step in when you asked me a question and when you were taking Ricky's words out of context. "thumbsup"

Understood, I was not being sarcastic and do apologize.

I think a lot of people took stuff out of context in this discussion.

Time to end the thread high jack(CONES)...if you feel the need to continue this discussion start your own thread.
