TBuggy's Gspeed V1 C1

Thanks B-Mow71! It was the first time flaring any fenders but with some patience it was pretty simple. I got comfortable and after doing 3 I rushed the last one and messed it up. I was able to recover from the mistake pretty well but if I was to do it again I know now there is a fine line from being hot enough to shape and then too hot and you actually start melting things LOL!

I managed to modify my bumper so it will work with the chassis and body. I will be honest if some one that knew what they were doing would probably laugh at my brazing job but I think it will work just fine for me.

I am at a loss right now as to were to find some side rails...anyone have any suggestions?

Some pics of the bumper installed..I think it tucks up pretty nicely now.

Also fabricated a roof rack out of some aluminum I had laying around. Drilled it out and then sprayed it with bed liner to match.

Added a few accessories.

Definitely more to come.

Rear bumper looks great! It fits the body perfectly!

As for the side rails, I've also wondered what is available. My plan is to use a piece of alum strip and attach to the the body on my V1-C1. I see that most guys running these bodies have done this to theirs.

I have done a lot of soldering w/ copper and after looking into brazing more in depth I definitely felt it was an easy transition. I intend to do some more practicing for some a future project I am invisioning.

Thats not a bad way to go for side rails and I will consider it for sure. I like the IE RC tube rail/sliders but if those ever come in stock and I went that route I would have to change how the body mounts and I really like the way it is without any holes or clips. I am starting to also consider just finding some tube sliders that I like and try to modify them for this rig. So many choices!
