T4 Rally Raid Truck

Option, options! I put a black stripe in there for you Debonair, and did a version with a black cage ...! I only wish actually painting was as quick as using Gimp ...

Looks like it is red white green and black then!

This week I have mostly been patiently spraying primer and sanding, spraying and sanding ... really trying not to get excited and throw a bunch of paint at this thing.

In the meantime, I started on an alternative rear body, in the trials truck style. Keeps me from messing with stuff while the paint dries!

Just a little update ... paint is going slowly and badly. I purchased a whole bunch of Tamiya paint, but don't seem to be getting the coverage I want out of the lacquers. Primer went on great, but the white ... not so good. I will keep on trying, though!

In the meantime the second rear body is pretty much finished up. I will probably paint the side panels white to match, and maybe some more scale touches, but over all me likey.

The frame work looks great!

BTW are you painting when it is humid outside? If it is it is one of the reasons your having issues. Paint and humidty do not mix...

... and over a year later, I finally got around to throwing some paint on it!

Bit o' red ...

Pretty happy with the way it's turning out.

And when you're done with the Dakar, you can always throw the trials bed on it and go crawling.
