Szczerba's Montero

if you do decide to switch axles out.. im working on a narrow ds pumpkin vaterra front axle. I can slide a few pics your way. im narrowing it a full inch not 12mm.

those mip shafts might be worth their weight in gold someday!

Cool. Send a text when you get something to look at!

Bowhouse makes a few 170mm axles that could probably work out. I have worked with them before on cool setups.

Team DC 87mm STT 1.55’s and Team DC Montero-ish 1.55 wheels.
Need to shorten up the rear links just a tad.

That rig looks so awesome back in your garage. I'm glad it went back to you!

Me too. I just picked up a set of BowHouse 157mm axles with some GCM goodies. With the same wheel and tire combo, they narrow me up 8mm from TLT setup. Some sweet GCM Al radius arms with rubber bushings too. Will be a little bit before I get the axle swap done.

Those new wheels and tires look fantastic on there. I checked on their website, I'm really liking the A/T version of those tires, they might find a way under my Pajero.

Be awesome for an lj70 build them axles too, they're radius arms front and rear from factory, sweet ass pajero!

Yah, found the wheels on random internet searches that lead me to DC. And found the tires after zooming around the DC site. They are really good 1.55 scale tires in looks and performance.

much thanks

Those are some sweet looking axles! What internals do they use?

Ascender gear/locker/axle shafts.

I finally got around to downloading tapatalk and started my thread... now to come and see this I might have to buy a set of these axles!

Ascender gear/locker/axle shafts.

Can you share this 'DC' ? I went looking w/o much success. All I get is washington dc in the gargerler search.

Welcome to 2012! haha But I quit getting notifications from rcc subscribed threads a year or so ago. It's a bummer.

Nice Pajero! Those axles look awesome. Do they use the Yota internals?

I have the "BFG" All-Terrain looking tires. Slightly taller than the MTZ's and a little wider tread. They feel pretty good and I think they will look awesome on the Boomracing 8-Holes I have. "thumbsup"

Since it’s come up a couple of times...all of our NCYota axles use GCM TMX/TM8 internals (GCM CVDs and rear axle shafts, Ascender spool & pinion, Ascender bearings, GCM universal diff input...). We sell complete sets through our website, or you can buy housings from our Shapeways store and hardware kits from GCM.

Awesome build as always, Shane. Permission granted to take a little break to spend time with #2. “thumbsup”

I guess im always late to something.

I get notifications from threads I have no interest in, threads I have high interest in and threads I don't even post in just peek in once in awhile..

by any chance can we all get a side shot of the front axle full droop when you get it all mounted up? im kinda eager to see the pinion angle change. "thumbsup"

I have been too lazy to do the axle swap. Rig works really good, so I procrastinate. [emoji51]
