Superb work as expected Shane!!!
About the only criticism would be the cockpit being so short. But that’s a personal preference. Even the name fits. Well done from the mile o mud!!!

Thanks. I need to take some better pictures as well.

What part is too short? The hood? The opening for the driver?

I figured the whole build I would pull from other designs. And no real spec to match up with 1:1’s, I assumed whatever I came up with, wonky looking or not would be ok. Haha.

I keep thinking it needs some kinda jet drive for some wild in water action

Just hammer down and let the skis and belly do the skimmin’ haha.

Hood and cockpit is short looking, but nothing has to fit inside so it’s purrfect!!!!

I used these three rigs as references for the front.
The build was one of the more challenging builds for me, as I was trying to keep everything in proportion and still make it look somewhat like a 1:1 rig.
Don’t know if I want to build a second one to try again. Haha. If I did, I would copy a Sims buggy chassis.

um kay sure is pretty but hay where is the run video
Thanks. Kinda tough to find a 3-6” deep body of water to run this in. Haha.
As we get more rain in the PNW, the puddles will stick around longer.

Also, don’t fell like doing a full teardown to clean it all up after just finishing it.

This was for some quick testing a while back.

Shane, you’re a true craftsman. In all the years I’ve lived in Buggy territory, I’ve never seen this attempted, much less successful. Minor things on it that are not important are no issue, the overall look is spectacular, and quite realistic.

Runs very well, no rooster tails, but very impressive! Only thing missing is the roaring of the engines.
Side note, the driver might not qualify dressed like that !![emoji1787][emoji1787]

This is amazeballs! Somehow I missed it during my absence from RCC. I loved swamp buggies as a kid and watched them all the time. Awesome build! Always thought it was funny when they dunked the swamp queens. :lmao:

Thanks! it does rooster tail but couldn't get on it too much as it was throwing rear tires. I have that fixed now.

amazethanks! Yah, it took me about 3 years to actually complete it. Just lost motivation here and there, as it was quite a bit of tedious work. Worth it though. Reliving my tv watching memories as it blasts through my flooded yard. Good thing I live in the PNW and part of my floods annually.

i still think it needs a jet drive lol and a little more water
it looks great though especially sitting behind that truck on the trailer
Thanks. I can give it the juice now that I fixed the rear tire issues. I may or may not be compelled to run it again. It's cool just shelf sitting.

Have you ever taken running video? I'm sure we would all like to see it drive off the trailer and throw some rooster tails!

I agree, go pro time! The more I see this, the better it looks. The locals spend a lot of cash and time getting these rockets flying. I also suspect you could sell them this.

Way cool! I realize it is a water rig, I couldn’t bring myself to replicate your water puddle run. Looks perfect on the tow setup, nicely done good sir. "thumbsup"
