I'm mounting a Jk body to my scx10. The shock hoops interfere with the back seats. I removed the towers and layed the shocks down by mounting to the frame. Of course they now compress much quicker than the front so the front always seems stiff and the rear is doing all of the flexing.

1. Can I fix this with stiffer springs?
2. Can I use shorter shocks and stand them up more? Will I still have great flex?
3. Do I need to figure out a way to use the shock towers instead?

Any suggestions from you pros would be a great help!!

Thanks "thumbsup"

1. Can I fix this with stiffer springs? If your shocks are at a 45 degree angle, springs aren't going to help much.

2. Can I use shorter shocks and stand them up more? Will I still have great flex? You could use shorter shocks and lay them forward a bit, you will get a little more travel out of them and with slightly stiffer springs you may get the same performance and flex out of it..

3. Do I need to figure out a way to use the shock towers instead? This would be your best bet...can you box in the interior?

Good luck. Pictures are always helpful with problems like this.

Yep, they are about 45 deg, so I wil try to get some shorter shocks. I could cut out and box the back seats but would really hate to since its a 4-door and removable top.

Will do next time with pics "thumbsup"

Thanks War Pig.
