Suggestions on new ESC and Transmitter?

Pretty sure my ESC or the transmitter is on it's way out. It's wanting to go in reverse intermittently. I also feel like I've lost some steering power as well. I could have sworn I seen a puff of smoke one day, though it could have been dust flying off a rock on a difficult climb lol. Ever since then though it's seemed like it's weak.

Either way I'm looking for replacements but not sure on what to get. I'm already looking at the SR300 receiver but what about the transmitter? Any suggestions on that? I'm not looking to spend a butt load either, Micro Crawler means micro budget :lmao:

Honestly, for a micro, I've never had a reason to use anything other than the stock Losi transmitter. Should bind with the SR300 rx, too. But that rx is gonna' be HUGE in a micro chassis. If it were me, I'd just stick with the stock ESC/RX combo for the money. Sure, you can run a decased Mamba Micro ESC or Sidewinder Micro and decased RX, but you're looking at additional cost and trouble than it's really worth for a micro. I run the stock ESC/RX on mine with a Danally 110T Big Block Kit on 450maH 2S lipo and I've never had an issue. For $50 the stock Losi part is pretty hard to pass up.

Just my take on it, though. I'd rather spend money on either my Mini or my Wraith at this point. Not a whole lot else I can do to my Trekker to make it better.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but not really looking to buy another ESC and a transmitter at all right now. Waiting to buy another Trekker so I can build up the 5.5 Blade chassis that I was going to use but I fell in love with the little trekker the way it is right now so I'm just going to build another truck lol

Are there any Transmitters that can mate to the stock Losi ESC? I'm assuming it needs to be a Spektrum capable right?

I do a lot of very slow crawling and I think I may be wearing the trigger out cause if I just move the trigger ever so slightly I can either make it stop or do it more. Adjusting the trim has no change on this. I haven't bought a star on here so I have no access to the for sale area though I might just buy one. Everywhere I look the transmitters are kind of pricey, same with the ESC.

Got a used Dx3c transmitter and run several Micro crawlers with it. The subtrim, end point and expo adjustments are nice to have for setup and fine tuning each rig. Especially when using lipos. Also doubled up the springs on the trigger to give more 'feedback'. Used the spring off of the steering. I put 3 felt 'dampers' between the wheel and trans case to put enough smooth friction to hold the wheel in position when I let go of it. Keeps the rig in place when moving for a different viewpoint.

One of my McRCs is set up with a SW Micro, R2106GF and 4PL. It has a very slooow and very smooooth low end control.
