Hey everyone I'm Kyle this is my super conditions build thread. Just recently started my Sudu mod dlux build over in the berg section. I thought to start one for my shafty build.

Parts list :

- Dravtech Suduone fl (Tobias's personal chassis)
Was built with wider rear for the shocks
- Dlux hamburger Trans with Saf berg gears
- Dlux upper and lower links with ti sliders
- Dlux 1808 axles
° dlux brass knuckles
° vp chubs
° delrin tubes with link/shock mounts
° vp currie center diff
° locked up lockers
° axial hd underdrive gears
° dlux fba front axle shafts
° creeper Bob ti rear shafts
° dlux trusses
° dlux servo mount
- Dlux circle cut beadlock carbon wheels
- Shut N cut 1.9 rovers
- S.d.i propeller shafts
- Parma x-citer body

Electronics
- Decased tekin fxr
- hitec 7950
- HH 13t team puller
- Cc bec

I'll be going back and fourth between this build and my berg. Building them at the same time to get ready for the next comp.

You can see at the back of the chassis that it's wider and also one continues side piece.

Next I built the Dlux hamburger Trans with his saf gears. Pretty straight forward. The gears come super close the metal spacers. I grinded them down a little to make more clearance. Mounted the Trans facing forward first but the motor was hitting the frame, so I noticed Tobias had a little notch taken out on the other side so figured that's where he had the motor. Turned the Trans around and the motor fit perfect. I grinded the notch down evenly on both sides so you couldn't even tell anything happened. I was only able to use two bolts. Put them pretty tight and seems to be pretty sturdy. I might tap a hole in the bottom of the Trans mount for another screw just to make sure it doesn't twist from Motor torque

So next I built the axles. I had the currie centers so just got the tubes, trusses, and servo mount from Dlux. I pushed the tubes in. They are in there snug. Didn't tap and screw the screws in yet. Built the trusses and attached them by the center diff cover. Have the axles shafts coming. So once they come in I can finish these up

Got some parts in from Dlux today and did a little work. Need to go to the hobby shop tomorrow and get some bolts so I can bolt on the top links to the chassis. Going to try and finish the front axle tomorrow. Still have to drill all the wholes for the tubes and knuckles. But did get to mount the ti sliders on the links, mount the lower links to the chassis and also mount the motor. In the pics with the close up of the skid you can see part of the Trans mount in the space where the link mounts to. The link mounted fine but didn't move freely. So I slid the Trans as forward as possible then grinded away the part of the skid that was in the way. After that it was perfect.

So haven't posted in a few days have been working on the Dlux berg axles for my Sudu mod. But this morning I mounted the top links. I had a problem with the links not being able to get close together to mount on the axles. They rod ends were touching the chassis. So I had three options, 1 I could use a bent rod end which I don't have and didn't feel like finding 4 of them, 2 shaving the chassis down a little to have the rod end not hit but didn't feel like modifying the chassis, and 3 bending the ti links which I ended up doing. I had a bender from harbor freight. I testes it on a steel link I had and bent easy enough. Tried the ti link bent it a little and released and it went back to straight. So when I bent the links I had to go a little further with the bend so when I took pressure off it would straighten out a little. Worked out perfect tho

I clamp Ti links in a vise and hit them with a hammer to bend them. For links i clamp them in pairs and hit one at a time. Sounds barbaric but it gets the job done. The quick impact gets them moving where a slow steady bend is tedious and as you've found has lots of spring back.

Yes definitely had a lot of bend back. I Def need to get a vise. Winnerone23 just told me he uses a vise also. I live in an apartment so have very little room haha

Slight bends

It's been completed and then torn down for an axle and trans swap. He picked up some pure spider axles with some crazy prototype parts and a custom trans that uses redcat moa gears. Very cutting edge. 8)

Lmao very cutting edge. Sorry I left this hanging. I actually changed almost everything around. Decided to get the new SSD_Lux honestly because my inner child came out and saw something new and shiny lol. My old set up I loved so at first was upset I started a whole new build right before the season started. But finally finished it. Axles are great they have a ton of clearance, don't get hung up on anything, the cheezberger works fantastic with it's over and underdrive, and first time trying brood out. Went with a stubbie. Can thank Adam Nerby for that. The thing is super smooth. Also went with the savox 2290 Ryan McGhan wasnt kidding about this thing. Insane strong. I also built a custom battery and electronics plate. Worked out really well. So basically the only thing that I didn't change was the chassis and wheels lol. Thanks again to Erik Dye for making killer part!

Looks awesome glad I asked. You got that sitting nice and low

Thank you. Did a lot of testing and tuning. It drives good but I think I need taller tires and different drive shafts. The sdi are really good but they limit travel up and down. The tires are only 5.25. I think with at least 5.5 I'll get more clearence. Also going to try brass loaded dice

So got the brass loaded dice in today. Threw them on and going to see how it does now with more weight. First epa club comp tomorrow at Raush Creek. Winnerone23 and I are going to comp crawl in between the scale event and test and tune. Next week I'm flying out to AZ for the summer shootout
