I am a crawling noob.. I just bought some venom switchback tires and they're my first "real" crawler tires. They are very sticky out of the bag, but they seem to be coated in some sort of adhesive. Even the bag itself is sticky, and if you touch the tires, your fingers get sticky. I've heard of tires being sticky, and that is obviously desirable for gripping rocks, but I had always assumed it was the compound of the tire that made it sticky. Is this some sort of spray that they purposely coat the tire with for grip or is it just molding residue? Should I wash the tires off with soap in the sink before installing them? I don't really want this tacky stuff getting all over my shelves and the rest of the house..
