Stand alone winch system with its own BEC?

I'm working on a winch setup for my TRX-4 and the most straight forward way to do it is with the wireless controllers due to the transmitter setup. I also chose an SSD OX winch which is 3s capable. The wireless controller I chose (HeyOk) is said to be 3s capable but I've read their comments about it "Yes, 3S lipo is good. Don't take the input voltage much over 12." Which makes me want to include a BEC to keep the voltage right at 12.
This setup will use a little 850mah 3s battery just for this winch.

Which leads me to my question, I plan on using a CC BEC 2.0 I have lying around to limit the voltage to 12V, but I'm a bit uncertain on how to properly hook this up when its a separate system.
I'm guessing id just used either of the red and black wires or maybe even tie them together (More amps?). This BEC has 2 leads that go to the receiver, one is power and ground and the other has power, ground and signal.

This seems safe to me but id love to get some other folks input
-Thanks

both are outputs. the one with additional signal is to connect castle link for programming.

Well I got all the parts and I'll be assembling it this evening, let me know if this is the wrong method.

From Robert in another thread. The 2 outputs are the same but basically there to add more accessories or share the load of a higher amp draw.

You should be fine using either lead to power the winch or using both as they are both tied in on the BEC board together.

Are you allowing the ESC to continue to power the Rx?

The two wires are hooked together internally. There is just two of them because if you are using near the capacity of the BEC you'll melt the connector. If you are using the bypass harness you can hook the 3 wire one up to the servo and then have the 2 wire one to be hooked up to some LED's or a winch. The only reason one of them has the 3 wires is to be able to communicate with Castle Link, for power they are identical and you can hook them up where ever you need power.

Yes the ESC still powers the receiver. The BEC will only have the winch connected to it.

Ah, I see now that quote is from Robert@Castle, I'm just getting used to seeing folks from the industry posting on here, very cool!

Thanks for the input calcagno45 and Magic_yeti

Just to update the thread all went as planned no issues.

Wiring is as follows: 3s battery to cc 2.0 BEC, one of its outputs (minus signal) to HeyOk wireless controller, HeyOk output to winch
