I want to upgrade to a 2.4 ghz radio system, I am getting tired or crystals and junk radios. These two I really like but need some feedback to help me make a decision. A guy I crawl with has the dx3s, It seems to be a flawless system, but I would like to hear some reviews on the m11 from a crawlers stantpoint:?:

Both radios are very good....having gotten started into crawling, I found my M8 was very cumbersume. The main disadvantage is the Switch for the dig. The M8 or M11 you have to use a knob, the Spectrum you can program any button which makes use much easier. The 3r would be my choice as appossed to the 3s(M11 out)........but both Spectrums IMO are a better choice.

I sold my Trusty old M11 after trying to use it in just ONE comp..

I liked that radio alot for racing... But for crawling, it just has a bad configuration of the 3rd channel.

And I think you will need the DX3R not the 'S'. 3rd channel buttons??:)

A lot of it depends on if you will just be using it to crawl or not. If just crawling I'd say the Spektrum. My buddy has the M11 and says its too bulky and too many bells and whistles for crawling.

You need the DX3R if you have plans to use all three functions of a dig. I don't think the DX3S has a three position switch for the third channel, the DX3R does, and it works great. You will regret buying the S if you use a dig.

Yes, the 3PK, or the 4PK will work. Not the 3PM, because it won't give you 4x4, lock and freewheel. The 3PM and DX3S have a two position switch for the third channel. The 3PK, 4PK, and DX3R have a three position switch for the third channel. The three position switch gives you the ability to utilize the dig entirely.

I use a 2p 3rd channel and get front and rear dig out of a berg. It could work in an Axial dig but only if the EPAs are the same on left and right and your center is trimmed at 0. It goes 4wd, hit grip c and front dig, hit servo reverse (both of the buttons can be hit without changing you grip on the wheel or pistol-grip.) and you no have rear burn and 4wd. It works pretty slick ( I use a JRXS3 and it would be the same on DX3.0 and I would have to guess the the DX3s would be the same as well.)

you can set any trim button (i think there are 5) to run the dig on the M11. Just choose where you want Channel 3 at.

The dial is the default channel 3, don't even bother with that.
