Axialfest left my spawn with busted rails and lost pieces and i cant find them anywere this is the second time i busted the rails so i figured i would order the xtraspeed metal cage and do a full rebuild the left over cage parts will be mounted to my r3dcat sct and build a independent suspention 1.9 go fast wraith i wont need the section that broke off and the body on the sct is shot so it will work out nice ill post up once i get started the parts should be here inna few weeks

Dang, you beat that good.

I want to hear your opinion of the xtraspeed cage. It seems quite inexpensive for what it is and I've been burnt before. Sometimes inexpensive ends up being very expensive in the long run. My last 2 hot racing products and a bunch of integy parts come to mind.

It atleast will give me something to work with the stock parts arent around at the moment and no word on whan they will be back in stock i plan to mod the cage anyway i want to reinforce alot of it and im thinking of cutting alot off and just leave enuff up top to support the spare tire on the roof the cage it self will be under the spawn body so if it gets bent or if i need to repair it no biggie i am worried about the wheight of it though im already at 10 lbs and im breaking stuff already

I didn't even think about the weight part. I'm at about 7.5 lbs w/ battery.

Yeah, Axial is having a bitch of a time getting parts out. I heard something about a warehouse fire or something but I don't know how true that is. All I know is the LHS has stuff on backorder for about a year now. That reminds me, I have to text by guy there to hold the axle they have on the shelf.

There are a few things that i dont like one its about a 1/4 narrower at the front of the cab than the original no big deal but my battery dosent fit now so that sucks ill have to get a new one or 2 to fit it and there looks like a hook point by the skid ill probably cut it and rework it so it cant grab anything

The chassie looks good enuff the welding isent great but it will work the skid mount looks like its to far to the rear so i might trim it down and move it forward a bit i dont know if im gona keep the stinger or put my bumper on it there arent any mounts for the sway bar so ill have to fab some up my aluminum bed fit nicely the shock mounts are a bit lower than stock its gona make a great spawn but i wouldent want to use it as a tube buggy it just dosent have that beefy look the stock plastic has and thats part of.what makes the wraith the 2 cages are almost the some wait so thats nice

I recyled the old cage and fitted it to my redcat sct i call it the red wraither it fit like it was made for the chassie it came out realy nice the frame rails were toast and i dont need that part to fit it to the redcat it came out real nice i just needs a new center drive shaft and its up and running

For some reason when i built my rear bumper i used the sway bar mounts to help hold it in to place now i just bolted the bumper to the botom of my rig and the parts i used to tie in to the sway bar is now the mount for the sway bar so that part is worked out
