Finally getting back to the Element Enduro Builders Kit Build. In this build I add some parts from Rock Pirates RC. I'll be adding their rear shock towers, narrow sliders and battery tray.

Rock Pirates RC Battery Tray for the Enduro/SCX10II - *note this is the older version without the battery strap guides. The new one has battery strap guides and I'm now using the new ones

Here are the rear shock towers installed. I used a 70mm link and some spacers to brace the shock towers.

Here is the initial version of the Rock Pirates RC battery tray installed... I've since swapped the newer version with battery strap guides.

This is probably my favorite part from them. The power wagon sliders. You'll understand why I like them so much later on, but they hug the power wagon body perfectly!

I added some weight down low to my Element Enduro Builder's kit using brass parts from SSD RC.

First the diff cover for the front axle

Next the link mounts for both axles

Aluminum C-Hubs and brass knuckles next

I tried to get the Enduro chassis sitting low and remedy the challenges that come with trying to achieve it. I'll be using parts from Club 5 Racing, Brazin Scale RC, and Hardcore RC to get it where I want. I'll also be using a 500oz servo from Armory RC.

Adding this nice Armory RC Katana 500 servo.

I'm only using the front set of the Brazin shock towers with integrated panhard mount.

Using Club 5 Racing Shock bushings/standoffs and High clearance links

Next up for this build is adding the Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion brushless esc/motor 2-in-1 combo and some Junfac Driveshafts for the Element Enduro.

Hobbywing Fusion 1800kv 2-in-1 ESC/Motor. Love the smoothness and the space savings.

In this part of the build, we finally add some wheels and tires as well as some brass to the chassis. The build is finally taking shape and getting close to the finish line!

Woohoo! I finally get to show off the body and stuff I've been working on for this build! It's all come together, and I think it's looking pretty sweet! I'll show you the 3D printed parts I made for this build, as well as the myTrickRC LEDs and the updated Rock Pirates Battery Tray.

First up, once again I'm using a Armory RC Katana 500oz servo.


So 3D printed parts... where do I start....


Magnet mounts... I made these magnet mounts for my power wagon body.

Here are the rear magnet mounts, and you can see why I like the Rock Pirates sliders. The magnets can stick to them!

Some felt to soften the blow for the magnets to the sliders

Here's my modular mid-chassis brace/receiver box/fuel cell. I took the high clearance mid-chassis brace that I created and added a fuel cell/receiver box on top of it.

Here's my rear bed (with a chassis brace underneath) and early prototype of my head rack.

Made a roof rack with Rock Pirates logo

3D printed a driver for the rig.

He's magnet mounted to the sliders

Made some louvers for the windows

Using these MyTrick RC Red LED Wafers

MyTrick RC Voltage converter

HeyOK Receiver switch

Created electronics housing for the receiver and other electrical doodads

Stuffed all that into the box

Created some magnetic wafer light mounts

The other wafer goes in the empty servo slot underneath

With the LED lights on

Here's the revised headrack with some 3D printed flintlock weapons

And last but not least... the Wasteland inspired bumper. It's 3D printed so I hope it'll hold up long enough, but I'll likely have to figure out how to make something stronger later on.

This build definitely isn't done. I've still got a few more ideas I'm playing around with.

Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun with this one. I've never used so many magnets on a build in my life!

Designing all the parts for this build was pretty rewarding as well. Learned a lot of things and wished I had more time to devote to it. I probably should start watching the tutorials on fusion 360. I've just been stumbling my way through the program and figuring things out. I'm sure there are some things that I did more difficultly than I had to because I didn't know some functionality or feature exists in the program.

I have probably a few more ideas on 3D printed parts for this rig, but it's pretty close to done. I've already got plans brewing in my head for my next 3D print heavy build.

I really like the receiver box that you came up with. I don’t mind using that electronic plate the Ecto has, but always afraid I am going to ruin a receiver with it setting out like that.
