Sonoma County Crawlers

Recap and pics are up ....
http://www.jphracing.com/March_Get_Together.cfm

Fun stuff, lookin' forward to doing it again soon. I've gotta take a good look at my rig though, and see how it held up. Time for some aluminum rims, as I know I've got some hexes twisting in the plastic rims ....

Thanks again guys for coming out and enjoying a nice evening of crawling. Especially Lance, who blew off work to run with me and show me the best lines!

Man what a blast. I have one word for that spot, AWESOME! Some day I'm going to conquer that crack of death, but probably not without a dig setup. I still can't believe that spots been there all this time!

Thanks to all that came out and made it a fun last minute GTG.

Thanks Jake for taking all the cool pics too.

Just took a look at the rig ... My Shelf Queen has been broken in boys! She's got some scars, but nothing major. I still have to measure the wheelbase right and left sides to make sure nothing is bent, and fix my twisting hex in the rim issue ... But, other than that I'm ready to go again!

Also, took some time to look at the bed-liner panels today. Yes, there is some wear marks on the panels and some areas may be polished out some. But, I also took a panel (the one that's seen the most use) and crawled all over it. Made it up every angle, almost every line ... Some lines were harder than others, but that's crawling!

*** News Flash ***
We're hoping to hold our first Crawler Comp on April 12th! Date is not set in stone, but I'll know in a few days. Mark it on your calanders, so you get the day off, the ok from the Wife, and/or girlfriend, etc ....

Just thought I'd post some extra pics from last Saturday....
Definitely want to do this again soon..

Nice pics Chris, thanks for posting them up!

Everytime I see a pic of Erik's scaler, I have to resist the urge to pull a Hilux off the wall .... It's gonna be a long day today!

I still have to do a thorough check but I know for sure I broke the rear body mount, stripped out and lost a servo mounting screw and I'm pretty sure both rear shocks are leaking. The dampness on the shocks could be residual from building them the night before though.

Not to bad considering how many tumbles I took attempting the "crack".

Just got in another batch of Losi shocks!
Got in the Black Jack chassis!
Got in some of the new Pro-Line Hammer tires!
Got in the new RTR axial ....

Mayhem rims are on order and will take about 2 weeks.

And, VF digs will hopefully be here next week (late).

Got an e-mail from Don this morning, this is what he said ....

"We had that lag from parts not passing QC…and apologize for the delay. Yours are in the first going out so hope you will have them by late next week."
