Went under the 101 today but didnt last long. Any local crawler have a spare ax-10 tranny I can use for this sundays comp. Jake said their backordered till next week. I just need the gears. thanx Chris

Jake FYI

Hi Jake

Nice to have met you in the shop today. I went to Novato again to look for that crawling spot. I found it! It's actually in San Rafael and looks perfect. Nothing there but a huge parking lot and a wall of river rocks.

I'll give you coordinates here shortly. For now- gatta run to take my daughter to a talent show.

i live in novato where is this crawl spot i can go check it out thanks

If it works, does this mean I get to name it? LOL

Acutally looks like there might be several spots out there judging from the set alone parking areas. Hopefully has some good "scaler" areas too!

The area circled is between two other parking lots and appears to be an overflow employee lot. Given a Sat or Sun, I'm sure no one is there. Driving past there yesterday at about 3PM ish , there was only about 4 cars in the lot.

Just got the new Jeep kit from Tamiya in stock. Also, Novak 45 turn motors, 1/18 Descender bodies and some RPM Slash parts! "thumbsup"

Dave: Your find, your name choice!

Dave from Stage 3 sent me some updated Dig housings that will allow the trani nd dig to be moved forward (optional mounting holes). Any one who bought a dig unit, stop by the shop and let me know so I can give you one. Yes, give you one!

thx

Tim, tentivly the 8th works best with the Norcal comp schedule, etc.. Now location is thee big question, we need to send out a seach party ASAP with a planned route (did you ever check out west Marin i.e. Stinson?)

Do we know a date for the next, i know we don't have a spot yet i am still looking:?:

This Sunday is the Tour of California bike race which is ending this stage in downtown SR. The streets will be blocked off around Railroad square and Courthouse square. Lance Armstrong will be riding this year, along with a very competitive field. Anyone heading down there to check things out? I'll be going down around 2 or so .... The riders should be hitting town around 3:30 to 4:00, then do a few laps around downtown until they finish. The race is coming in from Davis!
