Sonoma County Crawlers

Please keep all name discussion in this thread, I would like to narrow this list and any new suggestions down to 5 names for a poll thread. You all have until tomorrow, 11/25 at 7PM to give any other suggestions, then the list of 5 names goes up for a poll. Please post up and list the five names by number and any other suggestions.

"thumbsup"

Whoops, answered my question the same time I posted, that was quick. I also just realized I asked this question twice, sorry about that. I need more sleep. :)

Sorry, moving a couple names around ....

Wine Country Rock Stompers (WCRS)
Redwood Coast Rock Crawlers (RCRC)

Input from the list, for a vote:
9. North Bay Crawl Club (NBCC)
10. North Gate Crawlers (NGC)
12. North Coast Crawlers (NCC)
2. North Bay Rock Crawlers (NBRC)

I suggest leaving the suggestion part going for a day or two longer, and then putting the poll up over the weekend. It's Turkey day and everyone has the day off Thursday and will spend time on the internet. So maybe end the suggestions Thursday night and put up the poll on Friday, ending sometime mid week?

I'll send out an e-mail tomorrow morning to the crawler guys, so everyone knows about the name game and gets a chance to get in on it. I'll let them know times short and they need to get in on it right away ....

Revised list:

1. North Bay Crawlers (NBC)
2. North Bay Rock Crawlers (NBRC)
3. North Bay RC Crawlers (NBRCC)
4. North Bay RC Rock Crawlers (NBRCRC)
5. Redwood Coast RC Crawlers (RCRCC)
6. Wine Country Rock Stompers (WCRS)***
7. North Bay Rock Stompers (NBRS)
8. North Bay Pebble Pounders (NBPP)
9. North Bay Crawl Club (NBCC)
10. North Gate Crawlers (NGC)
11. West Coast Crawlers (WCC)
12. North Coast Crawlers (NCC)
13. Redwood Coast Rock Crawlers (RCRC)

*** was changed, hope this one is not another 1:1 club...

Yea what the heck!!!!!!

This is not the time to put this out there, bad weekend alot of the JPH crawlers are not around for turkey day. Some of them are not on line at all
they need to be heard also, there needs to be more time for the rest that have not seen or heard of this. Oh yea I almost forgot to vote, 0,0,0,0,0.

been away from this thing for a few...
WHO the F*** picked these names...
i think everybody that crawls in this group should pick a name, not just a few slect people that are on this forum...
not everyone that crawls with us is on this forum..
i dont think this way gave everyone a chance to come up with a name to pick from...
there should not be just a few of you to say ok here are the names to vote on...
there needs to be a better way that all can participate.....

Yeah, whatever, do you guys want to send everybody a certified letter? The whole point of this is to get the ball rolling to start getting some official comps together. If you want to suggest a name, Post it. Have a buddy who is'nt online? post it for him/her. Or let Jake know and I'm sure he'd be glad to let us know.

No big deal. Dont get your panties in a bind.

I M O

There is already a nor cal group why should we follow with a club name that is not much different than theirs. Were not them, "don't be a cow" lets make our own lines and show them how it's done. Lets rise above and let the rest follow
us. I'm playing to win otherwise I would join em.

It's a sure thing, that when it comes to deciding this name thing, that some will be unhappy with what the majority decides. The main thing to keep in mind is, that regardless of the name, it's still all about enjoying r/c crawling with friends. Either solo, or a GTG, or at comps, it's about running your rig on the rocks and having fun.

Call it what you will, we're very lucky to have a great group of guys to run with and comp with. Crawling has brought a lot of people together, offered a chance to make new friends, and forming a club or picking a club name should not ruin that. "thumbsup"

Frank, your opinions and input are much appreciated. IMO we are treading new ground and we have to be very careful how we position and represent ourselves here on RCC. The opportunity to possibly become "official" is a privilege and not a right. It would be a shame to ruin it with bad comments and poor attitudes. Please cant we all just get along?

Besides we are all grown men playing with little trucks...

Don't understand what your tying to say I've said nothing bad or have a poor attitude. I'm just saying that there are people out there that have no idea of what's taking place and they need to know.
