Sweet8). You've been bitten by the scaler bug. You going with a hard body or a lexan body.

If you don't mind me making a suggestion. If it was me I would mirror the trans so the motor is on the passenger side. It'll make the rig a little more sure footed.

I just want a little g6'er. running around with you you and J-fab got me sucked in.

I was wanting a hard body hilux body. But i would rather have a lexan body, only for the weight. but they don't look as nice as the hard bodies. IMO

I did that trick on my old ax10, and was thinking about doing it when i put it in, but then just decided not to for some reason.

i took it for a test drive and stripped out the 3 link mount twice in like 2 feet, and confirmed that my electronics are crap.

The g6 events definitely set the scale hook for a lot of people. I even think TANK is considering another scaler after AWCC.

The proline 79 f100 would make a sweet lexan bodied scaler. If they're still available. There's not too many out there running that one. If I were to build a ford scaler that would be my choice.

I should have known you knew about mirroring the tranny since you had a shafty 2.2. Just thought I would throw that out there. With my short little top heavy rig it was a noticeable change.

Gonna need a Jfab upper link mount8). What other electronics are you in need of?

well since Tim is going to let me borrow a rooster, I need either a 35t motor, or an axial 27t. Just to hold me over till i buy a novak BL.

I have a 27t trinity arm in a tekin can that needs a set of stand-up brushes that you can borrow until you can get what you want.

I ran it for a while in my spare parts scaler, that no longer exists, and it got with it pretty good.

Yeah sure, I'll borrow that till i get a BL. Thanks Everett."thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

Whats up everyone, my name is Joey I live in Santa Rosa. I am new to the RC crawler scene but I look forward to getting into it more and learning about it. I just picked up a XR10 that I am learning with and its been fun so far, that is when I dont break something.... lol

I own a 4x4 forum so I am pretty familiar with full size rock crawlers but I know very little about the RC's.

I plan on hitting a few of these Weds night meets and maybe get to know some of you.

And thanks Shelby for being cool and letting me know about some of the good places to go crawling and about this thread here. "thumbsup"

Here is a link to my build so far.

Has anyone been out to the west side of Campbell Cove in Bodega Bay? Its on the west side of Dorian Beach. If you follow West Side/Westshore Rd. all the way to the end you will end up there.

It when there a couple weeks ago and it seemed like it would be fun to crawl on, it had a lot of sand stone type rock and large areas of it. I am going to hit it up after I get some new gears this weekend.
