Something new from Axial, the Axial EXO Terra Buggy! AX90015

this is going to sound odd, but im a bit disappointed that the fake motor doesnt appear to be an LS1 which turnkey (and other sand rail builders) are famous for using.
but the pics arent very good. theres still hope. but i dont see individual runners on that manifold

Looks like HPI wants to play as well.

Daaang, that thing is sweet! It could give the EXO a run for it's money. Looks like the front shocks are mounted pretty far forward on the a-arms, so maybe it is 4wd as well. HELLO APACHE C1!! Looks like the APACHE SC might happen as well.

I see black Walker Evans wheel on the HPI buggy. Hmmm....who else recently released some Walker Evans licensed wheels? ;-) ;-) Can't quite tell if those front tires are narrower, but they might be.

This is getting more and more interesting.

Having gone to the desert for years now and owning an LS1 Car, Gotta say - you see alot of custom intakes and custom/pretty motors.. Doesn't look far off at all to me. Alot of car's have intake "Covers" aswell.

The Axial is way hotter imo, i will support Axial for all they have done for us crawler/scale guys, cant wait get the EXO!

The EXO looks Killahz!
And now that HPI is sweet too, but I hope they are going to make a more SC type wheel/tire combo for it and not that 8th scale buggy tire with a painted rim to make it appear like it has more of a sidewall on the tire and not a low pro.

2wd is only good for those racing fags with groomed clay tracks.:ror:
My Slash trophy truck is undriveable on hard pack dirt roads, all it does is spin out.

For the real world of running on dirt roads and sand dunes, 4wd will make the car much easier to drive. Have you ever taken a 1/10 2wd rc car to the dunes? You don't get around so well.
Its good for carpet to :flipoff:

Perhaps there's not enough information out on these yet but it looks like there might be enough clearance to run standard 2.2" wheels (Not the 2.2/3.0" ones...)? If you can run standard 2.2 wheels on it then I will be getting one for sure. Would love to turn it into a scale full independent suspension Ultra4 car...

Well now.. I guess Axial and HPI are going to force Traxxas' hand.
If so, we are most definitely looking at a new racing class, 4wd rails.

Scale buggies ARE. BACK. Happy happy here, after having to watch slit-open coke half bottles whizzing around, pretending to be a "buggy" for years.
