Bought the truck mostly stock but with rc4wd shocks, tsl boggers, HC rear links and LED light set.

Added an HPI 79 F-150 body painted the same blue as the 79 my old man had. Then added a vinyl bed cover I made using auto black vinyl (thanks to donation by viper) super glue ;-) and a plastic sheet. RC4wd wagon wheels are only fitting as pops had those on his 1:1. ditched the axial 55t motor for a traxxas titan 550 (works better than i expected and was only 20 bucks), added 3s lipo and a Castle BEC as well as a traxxas 2075 waterproof servo to finish its functional parts off for now.

For interior Dinky RC hooked me up with their honcho interior kit which fit by only removing the tool tray. painted dark blue and placed Ash Ketchum in the drivers seat and pikachu and bulbasaur riding shotty. Steering wheel will be added tomorrow.

Pics are below feel free to give me some feedback on how it turned out since this is my first scale rig. "thumbsup"

Rig looks good man, nice touch on a little part of my childhood hahaha. I would make sure and keep an eye out on the motor temps with that titan. They don't like to be bound up at all and heat up fast when going slow. That's just my experience.

hellfire - thanks! i havent had issues on it so far but the titan is made for 14.4v-16.8v and im only running 3s on a low gearing so its only gotten warm during one run of the course we set up

I was only running mine on 3s too. The fan inside the motor is meant to be ran ay speeds so it can cool itself off. Lol lots of slow crawling is what kills them. The heat builds up. Also try and find a way to put some kind of mesh over the openings in the motor. On the last Titan I ran a little rock or something got in there and destroyed a lot of crap in the motor. Lol have fun with it either way!
