sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north..

Yeah I agree! I've seen someone "solved" the problem by going for a very high suspension setup, but that's not the way I want to go. I want it to be more normal hightwise, not going for the monstertruck-look..

This is what I came up with...
Standard length rear, I used the bronco rear links on the front, and used a custom 3rd link. Had to get clever with the panhard, but it all works as it's the standard geometry...

I used some magnetic mounts of an old drift car, seems to be working well.

Look at that, you got it all figured out right there! [emoji106]
I'm not gonna do anything to make it fit, because the stock WB fits too many other bodies I have, so this one is going to be a prop or climbing object in the backyard I guess.

I got the 3D printer back up and running tho', so the framing for the bed with four points to fasten some load securing straps is good to go.
Now I'm printing a frame that matches the hole pattern for the fender flares so I got something to mount them on. I'm actually having a blast these days finishing the Defender [emoji108]

The only thing I seem to not fix is to print the grill I want.. I found a good stl online but the print is not getting any good..

So.. since Traxxas dont deliver screws with their flares and other plastic attachments.
That made me go to the LHS to get a tiny bag with some tiny screws in it..

And this is what I put in the bag.. Love it!

And this is my LHS.. If a 40min drive each way is local.. www.rc-shop.no [emoji7]

Re: SiCkPuPPy's TRX-4 with a Hummer H1-body.

Ok.. This far this weekend.
I think I need to paint the roof black tho, and for sure I got more plans on the details. The grill is stock for now, but it's not stayin' that way.. I found an alternative on good old eBay since the printing didn't work..
I also have some other minor plans, but nothing special really..

This is how I solved the mounting hokes for some straps.. we'll see how good they'll work [emoji846]

Not a lot happening here at the moment, but at least I got a minor upgrade on the Defender v2.0
The OEM grill

I guess it looks a bit "posh", but it's made out of aluminium and I really like it!! :D
