Shortening the wheelbase

I am looking into shortening the wheelbase on my creeper for more realistic fit in the more common aftermarket lexan bodies. could I simply just shorten all the links and driveshafts between 1/4 to half inch each. and is there any downfalls in doing something like this? not necesarily looking at it in a scale perspective, more like just having the wheelwells closer to being more centered on the wheels themselves

I also just got a stage 2 conversion from CKRC that I am getting ready to install and since it will be mostly apart at the time , I figured why not shorten it while all the links are loose

I have a 1.25" cut off my rear lowers.. it won't hurt any to do it. You could simple split the difference of whatever length you are cutting off an shorten ur link ends, say a 1/8 or 3/16 per li k end an loose ur length that way.. then if you ever decide to go crawler, ur links aren't a waste. Plus it's easier to cut them, you don't have to tap the links then..

X2...on cutting the rod ends themselves instead of the links..and if you want to save the creeper rod ends then get an Axial rod end kit and just replace aoo of the rod ends..Axial's are about a 1/4" shorter then creeper rod ends...they arent as strong though...thats the only drawback....you could also use Traxxas short M3 rod ends.

shortening the rod ends will work just fine. traxxas revo ones are the ones i used to shorten my wheelbase on my creeper when i switched to a axial trans and skid.
