anybody using a Reef's RC REEFS59 - 299LP Brushless Servo Winch & Built in Controller

https://www.amazon.com/Reefs-RC-REE...=1&keywords=servo+winch&qid=1629833222&sr=8-4

or using a 3 Bros Overlander Winch

I understand the difference between direct power and running power through the receiver. I can deal with it either way. I understated how the 3 bros is wired I have their steering servos.

Can I assume the reef is wired like a regular powered servo getting power though the receiver from the internal BEC? I will be using a MabmaX so it will push the volts and amps needed for a servo.

Do people know if they will hold when I let off the switch? I will run it from a 3 position switch on a DX5 rugged. I am running another winch but I have it powered though it own ESC where I can set the drag brake.
