Hi,
Well,
It's all started when I saw that China JK 2-door body and decided to use it in my build. At that time, I also had another project going with almost similar wheelbase and width, so I decided to make 2 bodies on 1 chassis build, and use 1/10 MST CFX for both of them.
The concept was the following: front motor, CMS setup, battery at the rear under the body (mounted along the chassis, between frame rails). The JK itself should have been stockish look, with stock fenders and quite narrow wheel track.
At the beginning:
Chassis:
At the trail:
And after that exact trail, stock spur (mod 0.6) decided to lose couple of tooth, so I converted it to trx-4 one (45t 0.8M/32dp)
Stock:
Traxxas one:
Also spent some time fabricating some sliders and rear bumper, first brazing experience:
I liked the looks of the truck, but performance wasn't as good as I expected. I decided to completely rebuild it. To do it, I took the JK body and my OG Honcho chassis and started to build new version of JK.
