Hey guys, I made a thread earlier about my brothers TR SCX10 but not for my Honcho. So, here is one for your guys' reading pleasure.

Things Ive done to it so far (I will add to this list and put dates on it as I go)

1. New 106mm axial tie-rod kit
2. 2.2 venom tires
3. Integy F&R driveshafts
4. Axial AX-10 shocks 120mm
5. Integy V11 45T Motor
6. Steel Outdrive Gear
7. Traxxas XL-S Waterproof ESC

Pictures! Yay!

Those were taken last night, so they are crappy cause its dark, but ill get some more of the overall truck. So far, I love the stance of it now with the bigger tires, and a lot more flex. Definitely a first recommendation to get better shocks, you wouldnt believe the performance. Pictures prove. The front flexes too! :)

Plans for it, eventually do the 4 link rear setup, waterproof the casing by using some ATF blue around the seals and the whole box.. Any other ideas for it please let me know. I want to get the new control arm links, but other than that I will probably paint the green parts of the body white.

Nice! That size 2.2 looks good on the Honcho- fills out the wheel-wells a bit better.

I agree, looks way way better and all scx10's should come with those size tires.

Painted my body white, IMO which also looks a lot better. Plus its just that much more different than stock, which is nice :D

Haha thanks guys.. for doing just a few things to the rig it does look alot better. Should have come with those tires, much more suitable for that body.

And yeah, my course isnt really hard at all, more along the lines of fun. Its more fun when it rains, and gets really slippery. Funny thing was that my dog just fell literally, .1 seconds after that picture was taken. It would've been pretty funny to see, she stumbled hard.

Thanks guys, yeah the only trimming I did was trimmed the inner parts of the fenders, closest to the door.. I still rub a little bit on the front bumper but its only when fully stuffed and turning.

Ok guys, a few updates within the past few weeks. I got the waterproof esc since mine was all fried and everything. It drives slower, but hey, its a crawler. I also got some new driveshafts from integy. Freaking awesome shafts, i recommend them for anybody with the longer based scx10's.. They also weigh a lot more than stock so they keep the COG a lot lower than normal, which is good for my tall rig. Anyways, heres some pictures, i took it wheeling in a few spots..

Enjoy!

Shows the ESC, and the driveshafts. BEEF

Looks fantastic. On those new drive shafts have you had any seperation issues? My buddy has a Axial AX10 and the drive shafts keep coming off. Anyway nice job.

Man, awesome looking rig. Great job on that.

What is the Duracell battery for? Is that what runs the lights?

Can you post a pic of the rig without the body on it? I am still trying to decide what I want to get.

Thanks and great job

I like the photos! The Galaxy S is a great phone :) Love mine!!

Im personally not a fan of the White body.. it just looks incomplete.. but each to their own ...

The battery looks like its been added for some rearward weight.. I could be wrong.. but it doesnt look to be connected to the rear tail lights..
Have you weighted your wheels? The flex images, where you didnt roll look the goods! Thats a HEAP of body roll, and I say 'Props' for keeping its wheels planted!

If the choice is between the Dingo and the Honcho.. Id personally go the Honcho, as its wheel base is slightly longer than that of the dingo, and as far as I can recall, the battery position for the Dingo is in the rear, whilst the Honcho has it front mounted. Would be good to see both rigs with no shells on as a comparison.. This question has been raised previously many times.. yet still no one comes thru with images. as a comparison..

Im a fan of the 2.2's.. They work really well.. but for the scale comps down here(aussie land) its a nogo..
TSLs FTW THOU!
