San Diego RC Crawlers

Sunday march 6 Forest Falls!!!

I'm going with a small group of good guys. All are welcome to go and have some fun. There is ultimate crawling and will definitely test the durability of your rig. 9:30 start time bring water and something to munch on...

I will not be able to crawl that week, but when your here check out the Glider Point here's the address: Torrey Pines Gliderport, 2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037. It's a fun spot to check out and since daylight savings is coming you could crawl for hours.

And if your willing to take the drive Lake Wohlford in Escondido is my favorite: Lake Wohlford 25453 Lake Wohlford Rd, Escondido, CA 92027

Hope this helps you out.

I will be in san diego tomorrow (sunday) for work on monday. Anyway i have my new ytown comp car with me and wanted to run a few packs through it anyone interested in crawlin and were some spots are.. thnks.

Hello SD Crawlers,

This summer I'm thinking on running some SCALE comps around the SD area and would like some feedback.

There are three classes for Scale crawlers: Which one fits your crawler?

Class-1 “Street"
• Description - A street legal off-road vehicle that you would drive to work or the trail head and outfit like an expedition vehicle such as the Camel Trophy truck D90 rigs.

Class-2 “Trail”
• Description - A stock vehicle that has been modified to become a capable trail rated rig and is not necessarily street legal.

Class-3 “Modified”
• Description - An off-road vehicle that you would build from the ground up and might see in a TTC/KOH type competition.

If you are unsure which class your truck belongs in please take a look at the SORRCA rules for clarification.

This sound like fun Glenn, I'm planning on doing same thing in the High Desert area.
I'll be running scoring/points closer 2.2 comp rules. No scale points run what you bring class.. courses will be at least 10 gates with possible bonus gates with a set time to finish a course just like a 2.2pro comp. I'll be posting info soon...
only separation I think we'll have will be tire size 2.2 and 1.9 class.

Nice Matt, What class would your crawler be in??

My best guess would be Class 2, I just picked up a scalar this weekend it's a RTR jeep SCX10 but I've swapped out plastic links upgraded Knuckles and C's. I personally don't know a lot about sorrca rules so that's just my guess.

This one..
