i found a local welding supply store that sells the 45 and 56 kit's with the flux paste and 1.75 oz of 1/16" solder for under 23.00 bucks each kit....which has worked best for making tube frames that has the strongest joint "thumbsup" .................bob

I have used 56 and seems to hold strong. Damn, under 23 bucks? Wow, I could of bought two for the price I paid. :x

i used the 45 for acouple of years now and that is all i use. for heating i use a mapp gas torch form lowes, it does the jog really good.

I use 45 exclusively now. A bit cheaper and flows just as well as the 56 with MAPP. There's probably some differences in the tensile strengths, but with a well braced tuber, you'll never push it to those limits.
