RULES of RC Formula Offroad

Independent suspension rigs are also allowed in both classes. As a matter of fact, it's way more popular in Unlimited class than a solid axle rig. "thumbsup"
 
thanks for the update where would one find the rules for all classes switched gears and thinking a sc truck chassis may be a good start. thanks kinglooie

At the moment you can't find rules anywhere. I have had the project of translating them literally for years now, but always forgotten or did not have enough time to do it. I'll start again. "thumbsup"

2.1 - General:
▪ 2.1.1 - Vehicles are limited to 4-wheeled vehicles only. These 4 wheels can be the only source of propulsion for the vehicle.
▪ 2.1.2 - All vehicle specifications regardless of class, body or bodiless the measurements are to be taken in the vehicle's ready to run condition while sitting on a flat surface (i.e. tech table).
▪ 2.1.3 - Wheelbase is measuring from centerline of front axle stub to centerline of rear axle stub.(See rule 6.4)
▪ 2.1.4 -Vehicles should resemble a 1:1 vehicle.
▪ 2.1.5 - Vehicles must have a hood panel, roof panel and a minimum of 2 side-panels.

2.2 - Class 1 - Modified:
▪ 2.2.1 - Vehicle wheelbase is limited to a maximum of 370mm (14.56 inches).
▪ 2.2.2 - Vehicles are limited to 2-wheel steering only.
▪ 2.2.3 - Tire diameter is limited to a minimum of 80mm (3.15 inches) and a maximum of 140mm (5.51 inches).
▪ 2.2.4 - Tires can be self made as long as the material of the whole tire is rubber.
▪ 2.5.5 - Vehicles are limited to 1 ESC, 1 Motor & 1 servo only.
▪ 2.5.6 - Use of MOA (Motor on axle) axles is prohibited.
▪ 2.5.7 - Using brakes all four tires has to use same force with each other in all situations.

2.3 - Class 2 - Unlimited:
▪ 2.3.1 - Vehicle wheelbase is limited to a maximum of 500mm (19.68 inches).
▪ 2.3.2 - Vehicles are limited to 2-wheel steering only.
▪ 2.3.3 - Tire diameter is limited to a minimum of 120mm (4.72 inches) and a maximum of 200mm (7.87 inches).
▪ 2.3.4 - Tires can be self made as long as the material of the whole tire is rubber.
▪ 2.3.5 - Vehicles are limited to 1 ESC.
▪ 2.3.6 - Use of MOA (Motor on axle) axles is prohibited.
▪ 2.3.7 - Using brakes all four tires has to use same force with each other in all situations.

Great work, interesting stuff. So far I have no experience in FOFF competitions, but from watching videos I have one suggestion about something I did not see in the rules, but I found on the following site under "Classes": Akstursíþróttasamband Íslands
