Robotboy's Chaotic XR

Completed

Picked up my 4PL yesterday so I was able to finish up the Chaotic XR.

I am really pleased the way this chassis came together.
Hats off to the guys at Chaotic "thumbsup"

Clocked my C's back 1 notch. Currently have the CC straight rod,
I may have to pick up the bent one now. We'll see if it gets hung up.

RTC (with batt) weight came in at 5lbs. 11oz. Not too bad.
I may be able to take out some weight up front,
find out this weekend when I shake it down.

A couple pics of the electrics, installed neat & low.

Yea...THATS a knot of wire for sure. Get some rx pins & crimpers. Definitely one of the best investments I've ever made for cleaning up the chassis...especially with this little fellar. Space is limited for sure but the chassis being SO SICK makes up for it.

Nice build. I'm curious to see how those links work out for ya. Did you end up at 12.5"?

J.D.

Thanks! It's just shy of 12.5 resting, exactly 12.5 compressed.

Rig looks good man!!!"thumbsup"
We are glad you like it.

Already feels good from the get go, cycles smooth as silk and seems very stable "thumbsup"

Was gonna ask if this thing was done yet I guess so lol. Looks good, how do you like it compared to your berg?

Last year I ran the XR w/ Moonbuggy chassis. Before that I ran the MB on V2Bergs.
I'm already diggin' the feel of the CC chassis and have upgraded both axles.
So now all the stupid crap can offically be blamed on the driver :lmao:

Dunno how I just now came across this build thread... the XR's lookin good man! Can't wait to see it out on the rocks in person!

Nice pics bro. Rig's lookin pretty sexy.

How do those links seem to be working for you?

You may have already said but did you get a GC measurement yet? I'm just wondering the clearance differences between your rig with those links...vs my rig with the CC links.

The rig looked very good today.

Did real well for it's first outting, Thanks Kenny!

Thanks, she is a sexy thang!! :ror:

Fronts could use a little more bend to them. They hit the front of the
chassis at full flex but I'm not seeing any binding. So I think I'll be fine.
The rears are perfect, nothing bad as far as I can tell.

GC measured @ lower link mount screws is 3" front, 3 3/8" rear.
