Rjohns Tekno U4/crawler

I think to get the look more accurate I'm going to swap the chassis for an ET48 chassis to get some extra length. Looking at the picture ma of the 1:1 it looks like 2 tire width will fit between the front and rear tires. The ET48 chassis will bring me up to a 14.75" wheel base. That will give me 9.5" between the tires. Close enough I think.

Here it is extra long. Had it out for a run this afternoon and it feels really good.

that's bad ass..... and a servo winch I see? you might need it lol.

We'll see. It runs pretty good. I don't think I'll have any issues getting through a U4 track, except the rules. Any kind of crawling though, that's going to be tough. The length is definitely not going to help. I can't wait to bash it around. The Tekno is already super strong, this thing is going to be a tank.

To anyone who is interested, The one and only PIMPNROCKS is doing the honors on this one!

The spare is just for looks. I would usually run with it. I may move it but it's fine where it is. I wanted to go with a similar look to the Lasernut trucks and that's where they run the spare. I might just turn it vertical on the back.

You could switch the spare out for a smaller 1.9 combo. Maybe it would sit in there a little better. Just a thought

Re: Rjohns Tekno U4/crawler "Dark Side"

99% there. I think I'm going to rework the rear shock mount eventually but it'll do for now. I have some more springs on order that are a little heavier then what I have here since it weights about 13lbs.

Ride height is nice and low.
