Review,, 1.9 Pit Bull Growler, Prototype

20140324_144706_zps0d810d30.jpg

This sidewall shot looks promising. If my Rock beasts had one minor (and I do mean minor) weakness it was the butter soft walls. Like I said, I did pre-order, way early, but I have faith that the guys will deliver a superior product. Maybe my preorder money will help with the ridiculous costs of building and R&D'ing this new work of art.. Great work guys, and I look forward to getting them whenever I get them!

I Hope They Are What You Need To,,I Ws Able To Get a Bunch of Wheel Time In This Weekend,,Thy Are Everything I Needed...

My only concern would be how easily packed up they got, im running an ae-2 and 35t motor on 2s geared 17/87 so I really dont have the "blip" you mentioned to clean em out..

I Understand Your Concern,,Keep In mind This Is Just A Taller Version of Our 1.55 Growler That People Have Been Having The Same Doubts With,,And Weve Made Believers Out Of Alot Of Them...Watch My 1st Video On These,,I Ran Them In A Trail Type Setting,, Mud And Sticky Icky Sand/Gravel...You Be the Judge How They Work..and Notice The Wheel Speed...I Have other Small Video Clips As Well...

Can you rate any performance differences between the Rock Beast and Growler? Our local group (MNRCRRC) runs scale competition along with our regular 2.2s and Pro classes so I'm more concerned with the performance aspects.

Well,, Honestly I Can't !,, They are Taller Then The 1.9 RB,,So That Helps, But I Can't Say Which Will Be Best For You, I Know That Every Test I've Run I've Had a Constant SMILE On My Face,,I Have a Ton of Footage I Need To Edit This Week,,Soooo Ill Have Videos Of These On Nothing But Rock, 2 types, 2 States, 3 days Apart,,So Stay Tuned

From my experience with the 1.55's on my TF2, even when they are packed up in slick conditions they still work pretty decent. I was surprised. The ONLY time they disappoint is on dry hard packed dirt. That is where I find they just spin and don't really bite. They also suck really hard on ice and crusty snow but many people don't even need to worry about that.

and thats what worries me, i live in DEEP south texas, our region is considered a desert LOL, thats all we run, hard packed dirt and red clay and fine sand. i guess ill just have to wait and see, i have a heavy rig so myabe that would help me out.

They look like they are working good on your rig, what foams are in them ?

Side note: Piggy moved to Washington, lmk if you need my, I mean his addy:mrgreen:

I'm Really Pleased With Them,,they Are Just a Bigger Version of the 1.55's and I Very Much Love Them,, Im Runnin the CI DD Closed Cell Mediums up Front and Firms In Rear,,I Have So Much More Footage,, Ill Be Making Videos For A Few More Days,, The Castle Is Pretty Wicked Sweet,,

Look forward like everyone else for these to arive to add to my collection of PB tyre'd rigs Down Under . Just aquired and older style 1.9 alloy i might just save for these and a new build i think.
