Thank you Zodiaci ! GREAT write up ! Never ceases to amaze me at how much fun these little crawlers are. I do not comp, comping is NOT the end all, be all thing to do ! I tinker on my Lil RS10, mod it, play with it and end up with a smile on my face ! I threw some rocks in my back yard and have hours of fun. Please keep the info flowing !

Yep, that's what it's all about, hangin' with your bro's and having a good time.
The RS10 gets you there for cheap! "thumbsup"

That's a very nice work on the radio!
Very nice info right there!

I'm on a top secret mission to put CVD's on the red cat
If it works I'll open a topic so I can also be flamed!:flipoff::mrgreen:

great ideal, my stock electronics work great after months of crawling..one thing to consider tho if you do the fsgt3b hack you will not pay much more than the spare esc cost, but will have a very much more capable radio(4ws+dig multiple recievers ect), 6 channel recievers can be found for 7$ I like mine so much it now controls my slash, stampede, drift car and two crawlers, but if you are not up for a confusing couple of hours programming you may wanna steer clear of the fsgt3b...now only good thing about a rs10 being axles...lmao what about the price or that you can crawl for over 30 minutes on the small stock battery, or that it comes rtr, its been proven that the rs10 can be a great crawler for low cost, or is just fun out of the box....also like to point out im not a comper and i dont care about having a comp legal rig..i dont even know where these competitions go down so when i compete with my friends its just for fun...glad you shared the info, too bad about the trash

i will say this about upgrading controllers, i went this old airtronics i was given, 2.4Ghz, and the increase in performance was impressive. made it faster for sure.

Well, you can buy the gt3b pre-hacked if someone wasn't up for hacking one themselves. That said, I have no problem with my non-hacked gt3b. I have no need for something being 4ws compatible or anything else. It is awesome being able to run multiple r/c's without selling a kidney to buy more recievers, however.

any one here know how to reset the esc on the rs10 back to factory defualts??

Yep. You power it down and press the tiny button on the esc and hold it down and power it up and it does a little jig and you are back to stock defaults then let off that little button.

Button is super small but look closely at the ESC and there's only one...

Hey Zodiaci! Great mods! I'm interested in narrowing the chassis... how did you do that? I noticed from the pics that the end portions of the metal have been bent inward slightly... is that all you did, or was there some other mod too? Thx!
