Redcat Gen 7

Redcat has added some really good aluminum parts recently. I would not worry about parts support from Redcat, especially since the Gen 7s are selling so well. The E10 and Gen 7 are by far the best bang-for-the-buck RCs in crawling/trailing right now.

I bought another Gen 7. That makes 3. :-)

I have a proline xj body ordered, and enough Dean ultra plugs to swap out all banana plugs.

I have my gen7 for a couple of days now and I am impressed with it so far except the lack of steering. With better steering I think this rig would be a serious contender for the more expensive ones. Are there any direct bolt parts to get more steering angle such as redcat #180090S high steering knuckles? It's listed on there website so I assume it will fit, but we all know what assuming will get you. Thanks

Yes the 180009S knuckles will work. According to Redcat they'll help alot. I've talked with their tech support and they've been helpful in giving me more info on them. Check out this thread:

There's some stuff on there that might answer some questions. There's also tons of other threads and posts in regards to bettering the steering on the Gen7. This is where I started with significant improvement. Great video by our own Jim85IROC.

Yould could also go to the next levels and swap to an Vanquish Products SCX-10 Stage 1 kit or try the well known XR10 mod. Tons of info here on these pages about this issue.
