RCCA / USRCCA Nationals and Worlds Invite system

It's simply not fair for a person to work through a series or get their invite from a regional and have any person able to purchase a ticket and be the overall world champ. Whats the value in an invite system if there isn't a distinction between being the overall world champ and being the champ of the day at worlds?

Sounds like there just needs to be some greater distinction/clarification or the tittle. I see it like this. Say it is 2015 Worlds. A guy/gal who has done well at a regional or in his club series gets an invite and attends. He/she places second overall in the Pro class to a general ticket. The winner with the general ticket gets the Worlds Championship Pro Class tittle. The guy/gal with the invite who placed second get the 2015 Series Championship tittle. They worked at it all year, and have the points for the Series win, while the 1st place general ticket winner has the win for the event only.

Both have performed well and both have their prospective wins.

Something like that JRH?

Re: RCCA / USRCCA Nationals and Worlds Invites

For international drivers we have reversed our position as of 5-1-15. We would like to use a season system and regional qualifier to have the best drivers be eligable for yearly champion title, but if we don't get that set up in time we will default to anybody willing to travel abroad for the event can be the yearly champ "thumbsup"

Quote of the second post here. I've changed my stance on this pending my ability to get work handled and integrate more international clubs and events. First post updated as well. We are now offering yearly champ qualifying "invites" to top 5 drivers from a club or qualifier.

There will be plenty of spots for them to compete, but without those series or regional qualifier invites they won't be eligible for overall World Champion title. They can be the winner of the day though, there will be trophies for both this year.

I agree they should not be awarded the overall world champion title without having previous series/regional qualifier invites.

If for example i was to enter a meet, and by some bizzare miracle win..i would feel really embarrassed if i was awarded such a title.

need some help here.

do the 4 clubs from norcal need to have a shootout to send drivers to Nats/Worlds or does each club send drivers straight through.

i'm probably overthinking this but i read both in the description.

thanks
