RC6GS V3 Brake Issues

I'm currently using this controller on my on-road vehicle and I am quite upset. When I need to turn around after going one way, I usually just tap the brakes and turn around. With this new controller, I tap the brakes... then the car waits to come to a complete stop or wait a few seconds. After that then I get throttle control back. SUPER Annoying!!! I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Already tried messing with most of the settings, but maybe I missed it IDK

Not tried my rc6 for onroad myself Many do use them.
Have you calibrated the Radio to the ESC yet?

I don't remember the XL-5 in my Traxxas Slash having much brake even with the stock rtr controller it came with.

Did you use this esc before with a different controller that gave you more brake?

Well the braking isn't much of an issue; a little weak yes. However, its the weird pausing after the braking. I loose the ability to go forward and pressing throttle applies the brakes even more. Then after a few seconds I regain the right to move forward. None of this was weird pausing was a problem with the previous controller installed.

sounds like a standard traxxxaaasssss esc to me
If you're gonna troll, at least try harder than that. Come on. This isn't Reddit or Facebook.

Look at some of the issues you've had with your TRX and then compare to others. Rarely do I see people having the same issues. So maybe, just maybe, it's you and not Traxxas at all. ;)

you could be on to something there
but every time i touch there electronics they let out the magic smoke so i dont mess with them anymore

YES!! That was the issue. Thank y'all so much!! The ESC was reading forward as reverse and reverse as forward. I had the motor wires swapped as well which may have also been another factor to my dilemma.

On another note, this ESC has lasted me for about 6 years now through many crashes and extremely hot Florida summers. Not a Traxxas fanboy at all, but you can't deny when a company makes a tough and durable product.

Glad you got it sorted.
Nothing wrong with simple and working. Traxxas ESCs are nothing special but pretty durable for the most part.
