So, the other day I was reading an article about the Greek crew that won the Borneo Camel Trophy back in the '90s, and since then a crazy idea stroke me.

It would be cool to see a video game, 3rd person style, like The Last of Us or Uncharted that would go around adventure driving in different terrains and enviroments, like the Camel Trophy.

It would be nice to have some licensed trucks and upgrade them, some techincal driving techniques or even an in-game driving academy for off-road, like the Gran Turismo series had for on road.

What do you guys think?

thats like smoking lettice

Forza Horizon 5 is as close as what you're describing. You can definitely crawl in the game, but there's certain situations that the game doesn't allow you to crawl how it should. All the game needs is to enhance that style of gameplay (ie Mudrunner/Snowrunner) and it'd be that much better.

whos meaning im not meaning are your meaning ??

OK, there's obviously language barrier here. I meant to ask ''What do you mean by that?''. It's a phrase I've never heard before, so not sure what to understand from that.

Haven't played any Forza games except the early ones, but I remember them being purely driving games. I had in mind something like being able to drive the cars and still be able to roam on foot, like Uncharted and complete tasks, like building a bridge, clearing the path or something.

Well, there are times that you can't go out to play with RC or work on them, and video games can be fun if they are well made and you you are into them.

I've been playing racing games, like forever, and only now realized that there are actually very few or next to none games that involve this kind of driving.

thats what minis are for and there cheaper than a gaming computer heck cheaper than most cell phones

its just screen time in my book i dont need any more of that

i guess there isent much differance really

BeamNG.drive might work for this. I haven't played it in years because my computer is a slow potato that basically won't run games anymore, but I see new clips from it on Youtube that look pretty good. They've been developing and modding that game for a looooong time now.

Absolutely. I miss Camel. I want a rig building and wheeling game. I'd even love it to have a travel part where you're in tow rig with wheeler on trailer going to other areas.

Needs to have mild to wild. More like stock to full custom race builds like KOH ultra 4

we need more large scale stuff

Speaking of PC Crawler games, does anyone know of a steering wheel style ground RC transmitter that could be connected to a PC and used to control BeamNG?

i know the radio link rc4gs dose i think also the dumborc doze as well
i cant find my dumbo manual but from what ive seen from the online manual says it has a ppm simulator port and usb port
heres a shot from the rc4gs manual

Easy, Snowrunner & Mudrunner (American Wilds specifically) are unbeatable when it comes to anything to do with offroading on console. There’s plenty of great modded trucks & maps to do some pretty awesome stuff. If you’re playing on PC even better and basically limitless options.
