Yes, you have accurately deduced the point of my post. Four years later I have even less respect for our Fearless Tweeter than I was initially willing to grant him by benefit-of-the-doubt -- pandering to conspiracy theorists who are literally clinically insane was a serious WTF move on his part -- but I'm not enslaved, homeless, forced to attend someone else's church, or "liberated" by a coalition of foreign nations intent on saving us from ourselves, so I don't know why anyone else expects worse results from the next guy.
Children will always try to act like adults, partly because of aspiration and partly because they've never been older than they are and cannot know life-experience they're missing. (hence the old joke "I don't know how to act my age! I've never been this old before!") It's irritating but it's also understandable. But when adults act like children, well, that's both irritating and pathetic. People in their 50s, 60's, and 70's acting like they've never survived a change of political power before, I mean really.

This whole year has been full of overreacting, people getting offended, hate towards anyone who doesn’t agree with you, and everything being racist, sexist, whatever -ist That is “offensive” people can possibly come up with.
I’m ready for 2021. I’m ready for this pandemic or whatever it’s called to be over. I’m ready to fly back home and see family. I’m ready for all the hate toward the Left from the Right to end. I’m ready for the hate towards the Right from the Left to come to end. I’m ready for all the hate from Whites and Blacks to stop. Im ready for all the hate from Gays and Straights to stop. We have been separated by race and religion. I’m ready for the US to come together and become the United States of America. All politicians want citizens to have to rely on them, but certain parties and certain politicians are worse than others. And you pretty much described the incoming President and Vice President who are pro socialism. That’s exactly why people fear worse.

Companies that have good sales, promise 1-2 day shipping, then it takes 1-2 weeks for the items to ship out. If you're drop shipping things, just be honest about it. Hell, I now have Christmas gifts for other people that look like they won't be here until after Christmas. GRRRR! :evil:
I don't hate on the people jacking up the prices for stuff like this, they are just taking advantage of the market; and, to a greater extent, taking advantage of people's ignorance. Some damn fool will come along and buy it.

Yea I hear ya, the gaming system deal is so far out of hand it’s not even funny. I just got an Xbox one s after having a 360 for idk 14 years and I’m happy with that haha

Not sure why people get so crazy over that, when I worked for Toy’s R Us, one of my coworkers had the theory it was a way parents could brag to other parents in the “See what I bought MY kids for Christmas!” Sort of way. My first year there was the same year N64 and Tickle Me Elmo both blew up and that was kinda crazy. Ran into a high school classmate that was working for a Best Buy about 20min or so drive from my TRU that season and they actually had somebody walking around the store with a N64 in their cart and another customer decked them because she thought that customer beat her to the last one in stock.........
Needless to say, the next 4 years I worked there, I started doing overnights during Christmas where we were safely locked in the closed store:ror:

I am really starting to think that there is 1 person that is checking tax returns and that they only work 1 half day a week. I mean it’s nearly 2021, and I STILL have not gotten my damn tax return!
My parents and I sent them in the same day from the same usps drop box. When my parents, who have more complicated tax returns, got theres back I looked at when I was supposed to get mine... only to find it’s still being processed. Weeks went by and no updates!
Then I get a letter in the mail saying I was missing a page yet I had filled out the page and made a copy of it. So whatever I sent that in the next day.... now it’s been 3 months since I sent that in and I get usps is completely screwed up but come on.....
I filed my tax return EARLY and I still don’t have it and the year is nearly over. Even now it still says that my tax return is processing, I still don’t even have a date or anything

We don't get a 'return'. Most of our income is from our business and we pay estimated taxes/end up owing a balance. If everyone had to do it this way instead of it magically disappearing on your paycheck/"returning" at the end of the year there would be some serious tax reform. When you have to write a check that big it hurts.
That sucks. Sadly, if you want it back with any expediency you have to do two things....
1. File electronically. Paper filing during a 'normal' year is iffy, this year is a complete crap shoot.
2. Don't make too much money.

So one of my kids is in school full time and my other is Hybrid/Virtual depending on what week it is or what teacher refuses to come in (the whole kids in school situation is a rant for another thread, as I'm sure most parents are furious at the situation) We have not received notice on anything yet for our district, BUT my sister in law, who lives in the next district over sent me the stupidest school notice I've ever seen...
They are all virtual... kids are home, teachers are home, everyone zooms. We have a large snowstorm forecast for this week. In light of that, even though the kids are home, as are the teachers, they will STILL CLOSE FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER! YES, A FREAKING SNOW DAY .... FOR ALL VIRTUAL SCHOOL.
Snow days are called because it's too dangerous for the busses to run, as well as to the give the school time to clear sidewalks and what not. There are no busses, and no one is walking on sidewalks. Yet, classes may be cancelled. WHY????
My head hurts.

That’s hilarious. It makes total sense though given a union is involved.
Maybe the Kung Flu was created by Zoom. I had never heard of the company before this year and now schools, my employer and even my doctors are using it for all things virtual.
