are you refering to the cad system they use sometime? that should work, but a decent 3d cad system is going to be around 2-300 dollars, and need a powerhouse machine to run.Ryan have you seen the computer software that's been used on Xtreme 4x4 for some of there chassis builds?? I was wondering how that type of program would work for a RC build.

Thanks for the linky. I can probably download the entire package off of my torrent site.I own that software...Bendtech PRO. I used it to build the cage on my 1:1. It makes it super simple. You could use it to design an RC cage just the same, but I think one of the biggest benefits of the software is eliminating waste. The tubing that's being used in 1:1s usually runs around 3.5-5 bucks a foot so when you get 3 bends into a tube and figure out you screwed up...it SUCKS for a lot of reason and one of them is you just trashed a hundred bucks worth of tubing. Since the stuff we're using on the RC's is so cheap it's really not worth the time spent designing when you can just keep trying different pieces until you get what you like in front of you. The software is also calibrated to your particular bender too and spits out the bends and measurements based on information you have given it about your bender. Since there isn't an option for the style benders we're using that wouldn't be too much of a help either.

Great software though!
You could download a free program called BendIt and draw up the tubing if you wanted.
