Projects

Thanks Travis. I have tested it a little. It works nice. Kinda funny, I lucked up and got 1st then came home and tore it apart and built it into something else. That's the way crawling is ain't it? But I do like it alot now.

It ain't much, just some crappy cell pics but at least its something to look at.

The beginnings of a 13" wb class 1ish longbed and bobbed lux.

Oh, and the Silverback is still slowly progressing. :lmao:

More crappy pics!

Trying to keep everything nice and tucked up but Im not sure if I'm feeling the lo-pro bumper. Just seems kind of off. Is it even class 1 legal? I've already brought the wb down to slightly over 12.5" since 13" was just a little much for the 1.55's. Bumpers mounted as far out as it can go on the chassis.

Any opinions? Keep it, scrap it? Dont mind the lack of "finish" work on the bed. Havnt got that far into it yet.

I like the bumper"thumbsup"....no idea if it's legal or not.

Me either.....Its hard to tell, looks streetable to me. Not that I plan to compete, but more of a just in case we ever get to the point of in state scale comps, it has a fighting chace to be legal.

just wanted to let you all see bigsid00 new 2.2s rig. sid came out and crawled with us at falls park one day and I believe he is enjoying crawling a good bit. After the work we have done today I believe he will enjoy it a little bit more!

future mods include a new novak 35t motor with underdrive, overdrive and xr10 steering. he also said something about wanting some new tires so that he can start comping with us! maybe we have another newbie on the scene!!!"thumbsup"

Just got this in a trade. First time painting a hard body, so don't laugh to hard. It has bearings already. Bought everything aluminum for the front except the shocks. Also has some rc4wd steels and mudd slingers. Going to add some scale things but first have to figure out the steering. One of the steering post just crumbled into peices. Here's a pic.
How I got it.

Taco Loco's goin full time comp status... so, needed a new tow rig to haul the trailer around. Building a Crew Cab F350 for pulling duties. Based on SCX10 chassis and axles.

Here's the Blazer I'm building to run over Taco Loco with. Waiting on some custom bumpers and sliders to finish it up.

Scale beer cans, now that's the schlitz!

Going through some stuff, I know whats in the works.......

2.2 Baja Claws
Venom waterproof 4400 combo
1/10 scale Grave digger body
bullet proof Wraith tranny
hot racing solid diffs
645mg servo
and SCX10 kit under the table........

Have to build my own links, but thats easy!!!

Decided on an extended cab instead of a crew cab. Fused the bed to the cab and layed a sheet of styrene on the roof to even out the valley caused by the tapered edges on the Tammy shells. Hours of filling and sanding to go but it's coming along pretty well I think. Better get started rebuilding Taco Loco as apparently there's a giant Blazer on 2.2's looking for it...

That bodies lookin good!

For some of the smaller lines and uneven spots you could take an almost empty bottle of tenax (roughly a half inch left) and cut up some small pieces of styrene in it. Mix it until it melts and dab it on the body to fill in spots. It sands out so much easier and also provides a little extra strength.

^^^ Thanks for the tip! I've heard that once or twice before come to think of it. Definitely need to remember that in the future.

Sanded like hell today. I think I've remedied the "valley" in the roofline.
