Project WronchoMog

So this evening I took it on its first run. To say the least I bashed it up pretty good and nothing broke surprisingly. All I can say is it truly crawls like a beast... I am very proud of it, I Spent over 4 months building it in my spare time and its paid off tremendously. Im not finished yet, still have some scale items to add including my stacks and what not. When its completely finished I plan on Powder-coating the cage that spray paint chips way too easily for my taste.

Ill definaitely try and make a video when its finished so everyone can see it in action, until then here is some stills from this evenings testing. unfortunately a lot of Pics were lost and somehow the transition from my GF's cannon to the computer corrupted both sets of files and over 200 photos were lost or too damaged:x. Fortunately Some were salvaged and u notice it in some of the pics. Hope you enjoy them None the less!

I made new Link mounts, I just wasnt satisfied with how the other one worked and sat low on the chassis, the new ones kinda sit like a Comp crawler adjustable links. Sorta an experiment to help with pushing that big ass head of its down on the rocks during an incline. It also gives me much better Drive shaft angles, So far im Blown away by its performance on verticals.

JBear3x.....you made my morning, THANKS!!! Someone has degraded your rating to 3 stars.....but this is certainly a 5 FIVE STAR build.

What's your gearing? Do you under drive the rear end?

16/87 trans gearing, diffs are stock so no under drive...yet I ordered a under drive set last thursday 43T/13T so it should be here soon! then maybe even better crawling!

No idea what a Derain disc is tbh lol. But the rear has a HR aluminum bullet weight set I painted black so u cant see them cause they're hedious. reason being the VP slugs were discontinued i think and are impossible to find until a few days ago i found another set at my LHS in a dusty corner to replace the HR set soon.

Very appreciative of the awesome comments guys. Ive now beaten her up pretty good and nothing has broken whatsoever, knock on wood. made some adjustments to the links for better stability. Diff gearing is being changed a little to experiment with over/under drive. Will post a few pics of my last run this evening.

good build
it does actually look like a unimog, but I wonder if it would look better with 1.9 tires, just a bit more realistic scale size

I personally didint like the look of the 1.9's on it, the wheelbase is too much for them imho. Id be happy to post some 1.9 pics of it when i get a chance. I still have my TSL's i can throw up for ya.
