Project WronchoMog

Did i mention its a forward cab? designed it this way to access batteries and plugs easier. It pivots forward on the front bumper brackets. Getting closer to finishing. Still have to do a little electrical, a bracket for the rear winch and some tuning on the steering and link setup (realized this after taking it for its first short test drive down the dock today).

Not happy with link setup, getting bad bump steer and Shocks need thicker oil. thinking about relocating the upper links. Still got some kinks to work out...in the mean time here are some current pics. still have some more scale details to add yet but trying to get the truck mechanically sound first.

GDamn that thing is SEXY!!!! I friggin' LOVE it!!! I hope that you show some killer insane working videos or pics of this rig climbing some KIND hillsides. I just want to touch the damn thing and call her baby/sweetheart! GREAT job....can't say enough good about it. Let's see it crawl!

I like it my man! I'll be watching the for sale section for this thing.

It could be the big brother to my 1.9 Mog.

I would like to see it in action though. Hope ya get around to posting a video in the near future.

Haha thank you guys!, your positive comments only fuel my push to finish it. RockKook as for it being up on facebook i'm sorry to say its not buddy. As for the working videos...never planned on making any but with your requests I think ill definitely try to make something half decent of its first run in the wild. expect lots of pictures, Going to try and finish by this Friday and take it on its first run.

Decided to strip my honcho down and build something different, a Honcho at birth and a Wroncho Unimog when finished. Ive never brazed a chassis before or rebuilt a RC from the ground up. But i will give it my all anyways. I will Update the build as i go, Enjoy !

Build Parts
Gmade XD 103mm shocks
VP light bar
Robinson Racing hardened steel trans gears
aluminium transmission case
RR bearing kit
junfac drive shafts
CCBEC
Hacked 8channel fly sky
BRXL with Torquemaster pro 35t
2.2 Pit bulls
crawler innovations foams
Hitec HS-7950
VP links/knuckles

I wanted the Color scheme to be black and green. So started with some wraith axles and some Green HR Links (Soon after found out they were a waste of money and broke before they even got used) Put some VP links on order...wish they came in colors but oh well, i hear they're tough. "thumbsup"

This thing is sick!!! However....Calling Bullsh!T! Never brazed before!? Looks like a pro job!Lies Lol. Great job man!!! "thumbsup"

So this guy got me in the hobby and it's all his fault. :flipoff: When he started this build I was a doubter. I thought it look like well let's just say not so good. As a matter of fact as he started to braze this thing I almost pulled it apart and told him sorry I bumped and broke it. I'm such an @$$. Well as things continued as you see he worked his @$$ off on this thing and it looks great. He's a tad of a perfectionist so it's always being torn apart and put back together for that one screw or wire. What I like most about this rig is my WREXO can launch off his back. Makes a nice ramp for me to jump although I don't think he found it funny I was in tears......:lmao:Keep up the good work...."thumbsup" BTW I think this thing needs a nic name and although WronchoMog is in his title I was thinking more of a SCXUNIWRAITH and think he should put these into production for the general public :)

@RCequpped and jbear3x.......

IMHO....I think this will always be a ONE off, custom. I'm not intending to sound harsh, but if anyone thinks they can do better, show us your work. Actually, I've convinced a VERY good friend of mine to teach me how to weld....so, I might try a Unimog build for my next build (I'll be sure to share). My only variation or challenge would be to weight it from front to back for Ultra 4 racing....only because that's what I've been into.

Also, the reason I say this is a one-off is because every set up is different. If you build a tuber, everything has to be custom to your shock lengths, light bar, access to your particular size batteries, etc etc etc. Even axles are different. The truss on an AR60 Currie axle needs more clearance than stock. Anyway......you get the picture, I hope.

My vote for name on this rig would be, 'UniPerfection'! It's a great crawler.

Anyway....just pure AWESOME!!! "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"
