Pics of your latest purchase

Picked these up on marketplace for about the price of the aluminum caps. I need to pull them apart and seal them up and they should be good to go.

Last night I went to cut a part on my band saw and the blade jammed. Did some inspecting and found the blade had rolled off one of the bearings that guide it and started eating the casting. I was able to make a spacer and scab it back together, but I took that (and the sidewalk sale at hf) as my sign to upgrade my saw.

I've had this old hf saw for at least 15yrs (probably longer), and I built this stand to convert it to a vertical saw 12yrs ago. It's worked perfectly for a long time, but now it's time for it to retire.

So today I grabbed the Hercules band saw and benchtop stand. Here's to many more years of cutting on the new saw.

Well, i guess I’m getting back in the game….hahaha. Got a lot of custom work planned for this, stay tuned for a build thread 🫣

Nice dude! Welcome back. I've got a couple RC4WDs in the queue.

Story time. TL;DR - I won a VRD Carbon package via Trucks of Freedom from the raffle at our monthly meet!

I forgot to bring money to possibly pick up a drift chassis off of a buddy's friend, but he also changed his mind anyway so all I had was 20 bucks which I bought raffle tickets with (usually put 40 in). I ended up winning a red ticket instead of an item, which the ticket goes for 100 bucks that's for the raffle of the ToF package. I was finishing venting tires and swapping to silicone inserts when they drew tickets for that so I had no idea as I thought the ticket was for the next event and just stored it in my battery compartment of my remote. It wasn't claimed since I had the ticket, so they started to put it away and just assumed somebody left early. I started talking to my buddy after I was done and he brought me up to speed, I walk over to the table and hand over my ticket, everybody is in disbelief!

While perusing "wally world", aka Wal-Mart, i finds this 4 pack of vehicle stands and decided to click buy now with my hands. They have a indent that could be partially filled and coverd with neoprene/foam block.

Cool find!

Yoga blocks are also really useful for this, many are sized to where you can cut each one in half and make a couple vehicle stands from each one.

They are made of the same foam that Crawler Innovations makes theirs out of.
