Downside of having too many projects going at once. But I probably don’t have to tell you that [emoji23]

Haha word.

I think my last purchase was an Enduro axle kit. Here's where I'm starting to switch builds up since I've a lot to play with now...

I'll build 2 axles with that from the GK stock axle housings and I have a set of custom InTheWorks links to mate to my loaner Venture. The AR44s don't like the Venture front gearbox lol.

Said AR44s will go towards #12, an aluminum Gspeed V3. Haven't figured out which Toyota body (Proline 2nd gen Tacoma or Honcho) will go on here and what trans... (I have a Stealth X laying around along with the LCG motor mount via Artful Dodgers)

Converted one of my spare TRX4 Sports into a Defender by using a cheap body and a short to long conversion kit.

I’ve since changed the front bumper back to a Sport one, looking to do handles/hinges/accessories and repaint it followed by lexan windows.

Team Associated must love me...

(had the pictured kits and clear body for a while now, as well as an Enduro Sendero and a Team Associated Nomad DB8 Desert Racing Buggy)

The military green paint is flat-out perfect in person - since no one sells it in a spray can for Lexan, I just had to buy the whole damn truck!

Swapping to the bronze Sendero wheels for the first few crawl sessions just made it even prettier.

It will not remain stock for long...;-)

Some hardware, BOC 24 chassis, some spools for a few micro winches my buddy game me, ranch stabilizer link for the tf2, some brand new ssd wheels and landmines I picked up secondhand and the free amain pit mat that’s too big for my bench lol

Treal wheels - much better quality than your average off-branded stuff, very easy to mount the RC4WD Milestar Patagonia's in the big 4.75" size - have only test-fitted one so far on the Ecto, but they look great!

^ Both of those wheels and tires look really good. I've got a set of those in 4.19 and currently unused.

Sweet...can't wait to see what they look like once all 4 are on the Ecto. The RC4WD Milestar Patagonia tires are one of the tires I'm considering for the "smaller front tires/larger rear tires" project I mentioned elsewhere on RCC.

Was able to get an order in place. Woot woot!

I was initially going to do an aluminum Gspeed V3 with AR44s for the next build but found out about these rails. I'm going to steal a body I already did up on a build, which I thought I'd never do but I think it'll be for the best. I'll make a thread once more things are gathered.

The latest (2nd) version of the Makita 40v impact driver isn't available in the states. If you order straight from Japan you can get different colors, too. The buttons and instructions are in Japanese, but I think I'll figure it out. The phasing out of Milwaukee continues...

Makita is GOOD stuff. Years ago, while working on a plastics warehouse, all tools we used were Makita. As for the instructions bring in Japanese, there's a couple things you could try. First, go to the Makita website, and see if there's an English downloadable PDF version.

If there's no English pdf, any of other language (including Japanese) PDF will work for option 2...although, it will be more time consuming. Download the manual in 'some' other language, and open the PDF. If there's no downloadable versions, you can always scan the printed manual to saving it in PDF format.

Next, in your web browser, go to the Google Translate page, setting the 'from' language to whatever language the PDF is in, and the 'to' language to English. Copy & paste one sentence at a time (while doing now than one sentence at a time is (usually) possible, it can also cause errors). Then, copy the translated sentence, and paste it into a Word document.

Continuing like this, you will be able to translate the entire manual. For an H&M hull (boat) I purchased, the entire manual was in German. There was no downloadable version, and I was going to do the 'scan & save PDF' method...but, I emailed H&M, and they were kind enough to email me the manual in PDF format. Using the Google Translate described above (approx 20 pages), it took me approx five weeks (only working on it on my days off), but I was able to complete it.

As a "thank you" to H&M for providing me the PDF, knowing that a LOT of their hulls are bought by people in the UK, and North America, I emailed them the English-translated version, which they could make available via download from the website and/or they could email it to those who might ask.

I know (first hand) that it's a lot of work...but, in the end, you end up with exactly what you needed - a manual in English.

If you can’t figure out an impact driver without a manual…. You might as well send it to me

Now where do they hide that flip off emoji on Tapatalk….
