Papabash's Team BWD 'Low-Pro' Wedge Build

Caleb and I are all packed up and ready for the State Crawl-Off tomorrow. I think I've done about everything there is to do to my Low-Pro, and I'm confident that it can win. The driver, on the other hand, I'm not so sure about...
Anyway, good luck to all the MO guys who will be there tomorrow; I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends, meeting new ones, and having lotsa fun! "thumbsup"

Did you slime the tires though.

Hey what time to you want us to get to your house.

I was just getting ready to check how long MapQuest says it will take. Drivers' Meeting is at 10:00, and we have to set up a 1.9 and a 2.2 course before then, plus it looks like it may be a hike from the parking lot. I'm thinking that an arrival of 8:30 isn't too far off. That way if we're a little late, no biggie. I'll call ya in a few.

good luck like you need it lol, one question simple green make the tire sticky?

Thanks, and I DO need it! I've said all along it's the rig that's been winning, not me.
Yes, simple green cleans the tires and makes them soft/sticky without making them so sticky that they pick up dirt and debris. I just set my rig on a stand in the middle of a cookie sheet (with sides to catch the run-off) and rotate the tires while I spray them. Then I just let it sit there and dry for a few hours. Works great! "thumbsup"

Just got back from the State Crawl-Off, and I want to give a huge shout out to fallin apart for becoming the new 2012 MO 1.9 State Champion! Austin did a great job of driving today and deserved the win. My son Caleb (Captain of Crunch) came in 2nd place by 1 point. I'm very proud of them both! "thumbsup"
As for myself..... let's just say I made a couple of stupid driving errors and ended up in 5th place. The Low-Pro did everything I asked of it and then some, but some days you're hot and some days you drive like I did today.
BTW, Austin and Caleb were both driving BWD rigs! "thumbsup"

Thanks, I'd really be beating myself up about it if I weren't so happy for Austin and Caleb, that really takes the sting out of it. They both just flat out-drove me. "thumbsup"

Absolutely! Just goes to show how well Don's chassis really work, there's none better! "thumbsup"

It was great seeing you too, Brian, I had a blast competing with you! "thumbsup"

I really only felt bad about hitting the number 6 gate on the last course after taking 2 reverses to try to miss it. It wasn't that hard to do, I drove right through it several times after the comp, I just didn't line up for it correctly when it counted. I think I was the only one to hit that particular gate.
If you hadn't been running back and forth between 2.2 and 1.9, and trying to get ready for the 2.2 finals, I might not have beat you. It's hard to settle in and concentrate when you're doing that!

BUT at least my "old school" mini beat BOTH of us with a Newbe driver:ror:
Shhhhhh....... we weren't supposed let that get out!
Seriously, though, I don't think I'd call Rick (Sniper) a newbie, but the fact that he had never driven that rig before says a lot about how talented he is. He definitely earned his spot on the podium!

Wow great job Austin and Caleb. Sorry you didn't do so well David. But hey I'm sure you still had lots of fun :)

Yeah, watching Austin and Caleb battle it out was awesome and I had a blast. The boys drove like pros that day and pretty much left me in the dust! I was just hoping for 3rd until I screwed up on the last course.
