So here is your peek at the new Panther tires during prototype testing, we tried Super soft, Soft & clay compounds.
The Super soft and soft had way more traction than the Losi or the m3 Masher on the same trucks and running the same lines, the clay has about the same traction as the other 2 but will not wear as fast.
On the Super soft and soft the sidewalls would wrinkle up like a drag slick, and we found there was no disadvantage to not having sidewall treads. In fact we feel that if there were sidewall treads, there would be a loss of traction at the contact patch.
On side hills the trucks would tip over before they lost traction.

These are just some of the first test results there will be more testing done. Their first comp is this weekend so we will see how they do in the heat of battle.

Got Grip…

SWEEEET! I like the wrinkle in the super softs. The tread is crazy looking. Kinda like a Losi, Hammer and a ? thrown into one. I just realized I am the VERY first person that isn't "behind the scenes" to see these!

i love the wrinkle..it shows that the tire actually has traction rather than just spin..crazy large lugs..and i second some dimensions..thanks guys for steping into crawling..i always love the racing tires..

Guys we have all the dimensions with pics, but until we get the word from Panther that they actually want this tire released we can't do it.

sorry mr grammar polease man, i done skrewed up :flipoff:

my ex girlfriend nagged me about the same damn thing

im just a lil excited to see somethign that may actually stick to rocks better than a rock claw

Soon guys, very soon !!!! Torry, I will be doing some testing on slick rocks here in KY next week. I will post up as well. And for those that dont know about Panthers compounds.....LOOKOUT ! Can we say sticky icky ???
